This was our second visit to the Greenland hotel this year after an amazing time in June and again we were not disappointed. Rooms are small and basic but are cleaned everyday and we hardly spent time in it except to sleep and get ready. We have been to a lot of all inclusives and have never enjoyed the food as much as we do here. We usually like to eat out on a night but out of 11 nights this time we only ate out 3 nights as the food at the hotel is lovely. Absolutely no complaints. Lots going on through the day and night. The entertainment staff especially Berkey are amazing… he goes above and beyond and we have made a good friend for life with him. We met a lot of amazing people again this holiday and can’t wait to come back again next year.

Our 2nd stay at this hotel, we visited last October and Loved it so much we went again this October, we stayed for 2 weeks and had another wonderful holiday We arrived in the early hours of the morning, and were given room 534 in block 5, the room was clean, smaller than the room we had last year and also there was a very strong Sewage smell coming from the bathroom, we went to reception to tell them of this and were advised to come back in the morning when the day time staff were in We spoke to our Tui rep who arranged for us to be moved the next day into block 4, we got to view the room 1st - room 432 this was the same size as the room we had last year and there was no swage smell so we took it I think all of the standard rooms at this hotel are quite small, but they are fine for a 2-week holiday for 2 people. The room was clean, comfortable beds that were put together so make a HUGE bed, there were mini soaps, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, Hairdryer in the bathroom and little slippers to wear which I thought were a great touch The cleaner (who was lovely) knocked daily to clean the room, and give us clean towels and bed linen, water for the mini fridge and she also did a lovely flower display on the bed The WIFI at this Hotel is fantastic, no matter where you are, you get great signal, The room has a TV with satellite, I saw the usual news channel in English and 2 other English channels that seemed to play the same movies and TV programmes every day, so definitely take your tablets, or phones loaded with Netflix, Disney or Amazon programmes that you like There is entertainment daily and in the evening, we didn’t take part in any as we preferred the quiet pool in the day, and in the evenings after dinner, we would go back to out room to watch our downloads, however they had bingo, karaoke, dancers, live band and other things that I heard were very good from other guests The food is FANTASTIC (I am a very picky eater) and every day the food was great for breakfast, lunch and dinner, absolutely loved the food both me and my husband, to clarify when I say fantastic I don’t mean Michelin star, gourmet food, I man there was a lot of choice, and it tasted great, you will not starve here, I’m really not sure why people have said the food is bad, it really was nice food, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals here The pancake ladies were there again this year, we loooved these, such a nice little touch from the hotel, my favourite was the Apple and Cinnamon pancakes yuuuuuum I’m not a drinker, but my husband had cocktails and said they were nice, he liked the beer too, also there is tea and coffee available all day which is great, and Ice cream is available daily between 4pm – 5pm. There are also snacks available which was usually cheese toasties, chips, nuggets, burgers, baguettes etc The staff at the hotel are also Amazing, very friendly and helpful, we booked a boat trip via Hassan (The Entertainment Manager) at the Hotel, this was a really nice day out, with a lunch, and 3/4 stops at different beaches/coves around Oluduniz. The food on this trip was also nice We would absolutely stay at this hotel again, it’s situated up a picturesque mountain, they supply a daily bus to Oloduniz beach at 10.30am and returns at 4pm for guests, or you can hop on the local bus to Hisarönü or Fethiye for only 30 Lira = .68p, it’s perfectly safe or get a taxi which is also quite cheap Cosmetically I would say this is a very good 3 star because if you look closely you can see the wear and tear of the rooms, but in all honestly this did not effect our holiday at all, so what if a bit of the wall paper wasn’t perfectly stuck, or the grout in the tile wasn’t perfect, or there was a chip in the tile, these cosmetic blemishes do not effect the holiday or the excellent service provided by all of the staff at the hotel, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and very well kept, there are Chickens and Hens chilling out around the grounds, but they don’t bother anyone, there are also cats, they don’t bother you, unless you’re a cat lover and want to be bothered! Our flight out was a late one so we paid £30 for late check out which was definitely worth it I’ve given this hotel a 5 star review because we had a FANTASTIC stay here, the rooms were clean, bug free apart from the odd mosquito and earwig thing (I only saw 2) it’s no different to finding a spider, daddy longlegs or woodlouse in your house here in the UK it happens and is not a reflection on how clean your house is, no matter where you go in the world Bugs are Gonna Bug! (that’s what they do) So if your thinking of booking this hotel DO IT, don’t let the negative reviews put you off, we will definitely come back here again because we know what were getting, good food, friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, picturesque grounds, brilliant WIFI excellent bus and taxi access, not far from Hisarönü, and Fethiye, and there are lots of things to do in the area If you have mobility issues I would not recommend this hotel as there is a very steep hill up to block 3,4,5, the top pool, pancake ladies and the premium rooms

Not as good as previous times, we attended as a family but we where 3 couples, the family had a bit of a rough time, having to pay over the odds for something which they damaged through slipping in the bathroom. Food was repetitive and not as good as the previous years. Entertainment was basic with a few acts coming in on different nights. This hotel you pay for what you get for. The scenery is lovely to wake up to if staying at the back with a forest view, also this hotel is all up hill be aware music is played at the bottom pool from 9am. Will stay come back but will wait a few years before doing so, and explore other hotels across the area

This is my review of my experiences at the Greenland Hotel for 16 nights In October 2024. This was our third visit to this hotel. We both said we'd be unlikely to return, due to the many shortcomings. OVERALL: The hotel is located inland, about 6km from Olu Deniz, and about 7km to Fethiye market area, On a hillside on the outskirts of Ovacik. This is a good quality AI hotel. Food is typical all-inclusive fayre, always something to eat, a good range of options. There's a few bars, reasonable service, but no waiter service. Airport and transfer: We flew from Leeds & Bradford airport, and the check in was very efficient thanks to the Jet2 staff. Outbound there were the usual checks and searches. We had arranged a private transfer with Blue Lagoon Transfers both ways. We've used Blue Lagoon many times for transfers in the Fethiye area. It was about £40 more expensive than coach transfers, but no waiting about at the airport. Return transfer was timed to minimise time in the airport. Return security was, as usual, very thorough. I've been 'randomly' searched 11 times in 11 trips. This was the first time I wasn't searched. Hotel: We arrived at the hotel around 00:30 to the usual greeting and brief induction with keys, etc. We were shown to our room and threw clothes in the wardrobes went for a quick walk round. The Therras Bar was still open, but Blue Lagoon had, at my request, bought four tins of Efes at cost, so we had couple of drinks on the balcony, listening to the revelry at the Therras bar. The All Inclusive commences at 08:00, and continues until 00:00, so a good period of use. There were no shops close by. The hotel is on a hillside, so if you use the dolmus to get about, it's a fair pull up Heartbreak Hill to the hotel entrance, then if, like us, your room is next to the upper pool, it's a further pull up Cardiac Hill to the room. There were a few tortoises about, though not as many as we've seen on previous visits. We were told they were hibernating, even though the temperatures were in the 30's most days. Room: We had a first floor pool view room, at an extra cost. It was a good size, and worth the extra. There's a safe in the room at extra cost. Heating and aircon worked well. The glass panel in one of the balcony doors was cracked from the outside. We reported it on the second day, but there was no attempt to repair it. I suppose they will leave it until the hotel closes, then include it with the overall repair and maintenance works. There's a kettle in the room, with coffee and whitener. The balcony was small, but usable. It was a squeeze to get two plastic chairs and a plastic table on there. There's an over bath shower, but it can be slippy in the bath. As my balance isn't great, I took a suction safety handle, which fixed to the shower tiles and gave me extra stability. The soap basket in the shower isn't designed to be used as a grab handle. There is a small flat screen TV, and the fridge is supposed to be restocked daily with water, but no alcohol. The cleaner didn't visit every day, and when she did, it was generally between 16:30 and 17:00, just the time we were returning to the room for a rest, shower and getting ready for the evening. We often had to ask for water, as it wasn't always left. And she didn't sweep or clean the floors, leaving dead bugs and small areas of dirt on the floor. You couldn't walk about in white socks, or they'd be very dirty in a short time. We were told that due to it being the end of the season, there was only three cleaners for the entire site. For some reason, the toilet was on a pallet like platform, much like a Throne, and I felt like a King sitting and … well, you can guess. Restaurant / snack bars: Mealtimes had a fairly short window, and the people queued to get in as soon as possible. There was invariably queues for food, especially between 19:30 and 20:30, and often unnecessary queuing for food if your choices were at the far end of the tureens, yet you still waited in turn past the food you didn't want, to get it. We preferred to eat around 20:15, when those with children had been and gone. Despite there being often over 45 minutes before the closure of the restaurant, tables weren't reset with cutlery, and we invariably had to find our own, as it was quicker that finding a waiter. The tureens were often not replenished. On one occasion, about 20:30, a guest in front of me took the last chicken skewer. Four of us then asked the chef when he was bringing more out. After about five minutes he returned, with a tureen containing THREE skewers, for the four people waiting. There was no intention to bring more. Similarly, there were no wine glasses, and we regularly had to use soft drink glasses in lieu, if there was any wine left. Snacks were available around 16:00 in the upper bar and main area, and often was better than the main evening meal. We noted on this visit that there were no ashtrays on the tables at the outside seating, which we felt was a great improvement, as non-smokers want to enjoy eating outside, without inhaling second hand smoke. Unfortunately the hotel did allow guests to smoke during mealtimes at these tables, and the smoke regularly drifts across other diners. Some smokers just used plates as ashtrays. I'd like to see no smoking in all the eating areas, not just the inside areas. Food: There was a fair variety of food available, but it was repeated most days. The range of food on offer was often better at the lunchtime than evenings. As I'm a bit fussy, I had chips most days, sometimes just chips and pide. But that is down to my preferences. As noted above, the food was often not replenished, or replenished with minimal amounts, and was often cold. Breakfast omelettes were cooked to order and the chefs were quick to produce them, though they only had two rings available. You could also get fried eggs and pancakes, and there was the usual buffet food available. Bar and bar service: There's the main pool bar, and a quiet bar at the top of the hotel. Both bars serve beer and spirits. The local spirits are decent quality. The evening bar, the Tipsy Turtle, opens at 21:00, and is undercover. You can buy branded drinks here, charged to your room. There's also fishbowls available at a cost. Bar staff are all friendly and helpful. Some of the entertainment takes place in here. The service in the upper bar (not the Therras Bar), left a lot to be desired. The barmen were more interested in their phones than serving guests. They frequently left the bar and went over the road for a smoke and to play with their phones. They'd be away from the bar for up to eight minutes at a time, and would go out four or five times an hour, generally after serving any waiting guests. On more than one occasion I went behind the bar and served myself. I saw others come in, wait a few minutes, then leave without a drink. I've already mentioned the Therras Bar, which opens later, if you want a few more drinks, but here you pay for all drinks. Prices are approx £4 per Efes. Pool area: There's two pools, the main one near the restaurant, where there is music, entertainment, and a slide, and the quiet pool, at the top of Cardiac Hill. Here there's no music or entertainment. It was quite busy at the top pool when we first arrived. Sunbeds were being reserved by a few people before 06:00, but the majority were reserved from around 07:00. People flocked here from the 'cheap seats' to enjoy the peace and quiet, bringing their kids, and it quickly became an extension of the noisy pool, with people sitting next to each other talking (shouting) as if they were in different countries. There was a brief spat when a small group were asked to turn the volume down. They responded saying they'd paid for their holiday, like everyone else. The response was 'Fine. Enjoy it at the main pool, don't destroy the peace for everyone else.' There's no policing of the area, and unfortunately there was a few people who didn't understand the meaning of 'Quiet pool'. The general areas of the hotel could be a lot cleaner, and all the light fittings came complete with lots of dead insects, presumably left to diffuse the light and make it less harsh. Beach: This is about 5 - 6km away. There's a free shuttle bus that apparently is funded by Billy's Beach, that you need to book the day before. I understand that at the beach, you have to pay for entry, sunbeds, shade, etc. The info in the hotel makes this clear. Entertainment and Animation team: The team seemed to be headed by Hasan, with another bloke. As we spent our time at the 'quiet' pool, we didn't see the daytime entertainment. We passed the Kids Klub area most days, but never saw any kids in the klub. Entertainment comprised hit parade night, where you guessed how many people would get up to dance, karaoke night, bingo night, for which you pay for your cards. And an Indonesian all-girl band who seemed to be singing but miming playing the instruments. This took place in the main bar area. There was also a couple of 'bought in' dance acts, that were good quality. There's a separate entertainment area where these acts performed. General Location: The hotel is slightly off the main dolmus route to Hisaronu or Fethiye, but it's only a few minutes walk. Whilst it is possible to walk to Hisaronu, for about 25TL, get a dolmus. We had previously purchased a KentKart each from the Ces Market, on the next road down from the hotel in the Hisaronu direction. Card costs about the equivalent of £1 and you pre-load with cash, say 200TL. Makes it much easier to pay for dolmus travel, not searching for small amounts, and if there's only two of you, much cheaper (though less convenient) than a taxi. The bus fare is also about 25% cheaper with the card than paying cash. We paid 30tl each to Fethiye, so would be about 23tl to Hisaronu. Taxi would be around 200tl.
