Amazing holiday! Staff at this hotel were lovely! Highly recommend. Met some lovely people Excursion - did quad biking private - great experience and photos. Entertainment was great - comedy show was funny. Drinks & food were great a wide variety! Water inflatables at the beach - had a great time!!! Want to give a massive shout out to Hassan and the water sports guys!!! My partner lost his phone in the sea Hassan swam out looking for the phone hour and half later the phone was found and working !!!!!

Fantastic customer service. Khaled in bar is a great asset to your hotel he really is amazing at his job. Ayesha customer relations has been great. She has helped out when we have ever needed her. “Generally good - but did not rate the star Prestige balcony service.”

Room- we stayed in a star Prestige room and can't fault the service. The room was spacious and clean with a cleaning service coming around several times a day alongside staff who refilled the fridge several times.  The balcony was labelled as a quiet room, and whilst you could hear some of the night entertainment when the balcony door was open, it was very much soundproof when you shut it. Food - we dined mainly at the buffet, which had a large variety of food options. The severice staff were very attentive and arranged for a special table for us on two occasions one for my husbands birthday and another for our wedding anniversary.  There is always some sort of food available between meals so if  You miss the main restaurant times you will still be fine. I follow a vegetarian diet and always find the food to be clearly labelled apart from the star prestige balcony, which is another story entirely. Star Prestige Balcony- we used this on three separate occasions on each ocassion staff did not acknowledged us-  I attempted to ask staff for a drink when he had finished serving someone else ( as some are not self service) but he just walked off attempted to gain his attention again but no success. I'm not sure if it's a language barrier as most people appeared to be French or German and were approached several times. The only time we got approached was to be told to move to another sunbed by staff as I was sitting on an odd numbered one when there were only 5 people in the facility. Can't lie. I had lost my patience by this point (I was polite, but according to my husband clearly annoyed)  so can't fault staff for not approaching me after the 3rd visit.  Self-service was limited but has the basics.If you are considering Star Prestige for the adult only balcony, please be aware that you may have to ask several times for drinks, etc. Weird rules relating to where you can sit but no issues with people blasting their music on their phone as loudly as possible, etc. Sandwiches on self-service were very stale and not clearly marked for dietary requirements. Service- service (apart from the Prestige balcony) was excellent from the cleaning staff to the front of house staff. Nothing appeared too much, and they were very attentive. My husband also arranged for flowers to be brought up to our room, which were beautiful and very fragrant. Again, the staff at the buffet were super attentive and friendly, which was much appreciated, and the staff around both the pool and beach area were very approachable. This would have been a 5-star experience if it had not been for the star prestige balcony. I did speak to reception about it to confirm if I was able to request drinks, etc, which they confirmed I could and was encouraged to but again continued to receive shoddy service time and time again.

“Could be better - sewerage smells.”

We stayed here over new year 2023/2024, into January. We booked a. Star prestige room with Sea view and were allocated a room on the side of the hotel very close to the star prestige lounge area. Our room was huge almost like a suite but it had really strange layout. There was a locked off doorway from the entrance hall to the bathroom and light switches were in strange places relative to the lights they operated. The room was kept spotless each day but it could have done with some TLC. The floor tiles were loose underfoot in many places and the bathroom was a little rough around the edges - although as I say everything was spotless. I asked at Reception is we had been allocated the correct room since we faced out to the horrible waste land/ next door hotel. There was. Lateral sea view. I queried this on reception and was met with a defensive response that I had been upgraded and should be grateful. I politely pointed out that the hotel sells side sea view rooms and sea view rooms this was clearly a side sea view. The response to this was - it’s New Tear the hotel is full, you can see the sea. I didn’t peruse it any further as it was clearly I wasn’t going to get anywhere. The reception staff tried to be friendly but I observed as soon as you asked a question such as about my room they became defensive. I suspect they face these questions a lot and so are protecting themselves from angry clients. The staff in the bars and restaurants were charming and friendly. We found the restaurant to be a bit chaotic and unpleasant and while staff were working hard I don’t think there were enough of them. Occasionally it was hard to find a table and plates were left uncleared for a long time, one occasion the whole meal. Similarly getting drinks that were served from the waiters was sometimes prompt and slick other times I felt like I was begging. We tried to sit in the same section to boot a relationship so we could tip outlets waiter but this was almost impossible. The food itself was decent. Presentation was food and there was significant choice. Wasn’t necessarily the best quality but you won’t go hungry. We tried the ALC restaurant and it was very mediocre and soulless in atmosphere. We spent a couple of afternoons at the Star Prestige terrace and it was pleasant there. As others have mentioned the hotel clearly has a sewerage problem. We were luck our room was fine but in certain corridors as you get closer to reception the smell is overwhelming. In places they have tried to mask it with chemical air fresheners. As you get close to the indoor pool the smell becomes a mixture of sewerage and strong Chloe in a way I just can’t describe. The hotel looks amazing and gives a great first impression but there is work to do and there are other hotels that do better (even other Iberostars). I’m not here to skate the hotel as for the money we paid it offered good value but there is lots of room for improvement.
