“Comfortable”

Stayed three nights with friends, the hotel is well situated with plenty of restaurants nearby and is an ideal base for touring the area. Stayed three nights with friends, the hotel is well situated with plenty of restaurants nearby and is an ideal base for touring the area. Rooms are simply furnished, clean with toiletries supplied, shower was fine although a wee bit cramped, but did its job. Beds, comfortable,made up each day and towels changed. Breakfast was again simple and basic (Continental) cereal, bagette, crousuant, coffee, and small bun, enough to get to started. Breakfast time had to be pre booked as dining area quite small. Staff very helpful despite language barrier. The owner/manager a very nice and pleasant young lady again very helpful and obliging. We rang the hotel prior to our arrival to re arrange an evening meal at a restaurant,they duly obliged by booking us a table at one just a short walk away. One thing that may concern guests is the fact that the hotel does not have an all night reception, access to the hotel is via a keypad, they give you the access code on arrival, but they changed it after two days, they did give us the new code of course. If you are looking for that basic, clean, comfortable no frills experience then this hotel should fit the bill. We would certainly return.

Pleasant hotel conveniently placed for centre of this charming small town. Recently decorated and rooms clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly - we conversed in franglais! Plan to visit again, would recommend.

I booked this hotel a few months back. On arriving in Trouville, I couldn’t find it. Why? It’s changed it’s name. They had my e mail address but failed to tell me. I booked this hotel a few months back. On arriving in Trouville, I couldn’t find it. Why? It’s changed it’s name. They had my e mail address but failed to tell me. There is now no trace of the old name! ( sorry I’ve forgotten the new name. My credit card receipt still says De La Paix) So I was stressed when I finally arrived and reception did nothing to alleviate that. There was no apology. To check if my room was ready she shouted to the cleaner. There was no answer. So she gave me the key and said she didn’t know if it was ready or not! All she seemed to want was my immediate payment with a gruff ‘how are you going to pay?’ The other staff I met were friendly . The room was a bit dated but ok, and breakfast was no frills but ok for the price. The hotel is well placed by the roundabout after you’ve crossed the 2nd river bridge from Deauville. The price was reasonable.
