“Good experience overall”

It is without a doubt a great hotel and I will be back. The view from sea view room is magnificent, the restaurant location ( veranda and indoor seating ) are great, breakfast is perfect, location is perfect- close to Arcachon central plage with the restaurants and shops but far enough so the crowd… lisää

It is without a doubt a great hotel and I will be back. The view from sea view room is magnificent, the restaurant location ( veranda and indoor seating ) are great, breakfast is perfect, location is perfect- close to Arcachon central plage with the restaurants and shops but far enough so the crowds of people stay away. Why 4 stars? The restaurant menu was unfortunately not great, mainly oysters and salads or a pasta dish. No cooked fish/ meat dishes so only acceptable for lunch . Parking space is very limited, we booked a parking spot but on arrival they didn’t have any space so we had to find a spot on the road instead. And finally, the roof top bar. Great place with a view but no service. We gave up waiting and went for dinner instead. Barman did wish us a nice evening but we would have preferred some drinks instead.

“Hotel good - room disappointing.”

The hotel itself had good facilities but I felt our room was not 5 star. It was a suite but quite small and was meant to sleep 4 but balcony only had 2 basic chairs and no comfortable loungers, which I would have expected. The hotel itself had good facilities but I felt our room was not 5 star. It was a suite but quite small and was meant to sleep 4 but balcony only had 2 basic chairs and no comfortable loungers, which I would have expected. The only window coverings were net curtains and I have never slept in a 5 star hotel without proper blackout curtains. However the staff were all good and helpful, especially Charlie (front of house) and Marie (restaurant).
