Hotellin lähellä ei ole kauppaa mutta shuttlella (kyytiin hotellin edestä) voi mennä vähän matkan päähän Chedraui nimiseen markettiin kun sanoo jäävänsä pois Puerto Maya:ssa. Meillä oli varattuna european plan tyyppinen huone (ei siis all inclusive, mikä hotellissa myös mahdollista) eli majoitus ja aamupala. Tämä kyseinen aamupala oli huono, tarjoiltiin klo 6-8 ja oli pääasiassa vain kahvia, mehua ja vesimelonia tai muuta hedelmää. Kävimme kerran buffet aamiaisella, joka oli loistava mutta mielestäni kallis, kun laskun yhteydessä selvisi, ettei juomat kuuluneet buffetin hintaan, vaan niistä laskutettiin erikseen. No tämä ei meitä lannistanut ja loma jatkui silti hyvillä mielin. Palvelu hotellissa oli loistavaa. Kaikkeen sai apua ja hymyn. Huone oli siisti, lukuun ottamatta pientä kulumaa. Meidän huoneemme oli 203, yläkerta, eli katto oli tehty jostain luonnonmateriaalista. Tästä tuli hieman roskaa huoneeseen, jos katolla oli ollut esim. lintuja mutta ei mitenkään häiritsevästi. Sai pyyhkäisemällä pois, eikä kertaakaan käynyt niin, että yöllä olisi jotain tippunut päälle. Huoneessa myös poreallas. Lämmintä vettä riitti sekä altaaseen, että suihkuun. Hotelli sijaitsee mielestäni niin "viidakossa" kuin hotelli voi olla, joten ympäristössä oli iguaaneja, lintuja ym pikku eläimiä. Kivaa seurattavaa 3v:n kanssa. Hotellin alueella on myös "eläintarha", missä leijonia, tiikereitä, apinoita, krokotiilejä ym ym. Jälleen kivaa lapsen kanssa! Hotellin oma ranta on aika kivikkoinen ja pieni (ei soivi oikein uimiseen) mutta vastaanotosta on ilmainen kuljetus hienolle rannalle (muutama min.) missä asiakkaille varatut aurinkotuolit ja baari. Vieressä myös pieni kauppa. Uima-allasalue oli mielestämme hieno. Lapsille oma allas, missä liukumäkiä ja vesiputouksia (vesi lasten altaassa kylläkin aika kylmää). Hotellialue on aika iso ja siellä saa kävellä paljon, jos haluaa mutta ei ole pakko. Henkilökunta ajaa alueella golfkärryn tyyppisillä kulkuvälineillä ja vie asiakkaita paikasta toiseen. Kaiken kaikkiaan olimme erittäin tyytyväisiä valintaamme!

Luckily for me there weren’t too many children during the bulk of my stay. The staff are the best & most friendly I have experienced and all very welcoming, especially Francisco, Erik & Julio in the restaurant

“My Birthday”

I liked staying here very much with the uniqueness of the layout if the pool so much natural vegetation, & critters visiting your tables I loved it. The manatees in the river & our little cabin kitty that came to visit every day. The food was amazing & they catered to me as I had celiac disease.

Decided to bring my family here on a whim as it was a first time visiting the area and the low cost . Here are my thoughts: - Cost: If you’re on a budget like I am this resort was the low low cost of free! You can save your money for off resort activities. - Activities: Though the beach was small and unkempt the resort was packed with senotes to let the kids swim in. Just watch out for the alligators from the long abandoned zoo. The pool was completely drained of all water and filled with debris so no swimming, but the kids loved running circles around in it. - Food: there was no food service whatsoever as the staff was nowhere to be seen the entire time we where there, but there where plenty of seabirds, fish, and “Mexican raccoons” for us to eat when we where hungry. - Rooms: the rooms were a little delapidated and it looked like it had not been cleaned in three years. Also the smell of sewage was permiating across the resort, which was almost unbearable at times, but my wife liked it so who am I to complain. - Staff: we only saw one staff member the entire time we were here. He was busy pulling copper wire out of the walls and gave us a friendly wave of his machete. All in all, this was not the best resort I’ve been to, but having the whole resort to ourselves and all the fun activities was memorable for the kids. I would recommend visiting if your on a budget and your children have basic survival skills!
