“Nice hotel”

I booked this hotel through loveholidays. The hotel was nice, reception staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. My room was very big for a solo traveller which was nice….loved the space. I had a twin bed, very comfortable and spacious. Lovely bathroom/shower. No complaints there. Just … lisää

I booked this hotel through loveholidays. The hotel was nice, reception staff were very accommodating, helpful and friendly. My room was very big for a solo traveller which was nice….loved the space. I had a twin bed, very comfortable and spacious. Lovely bathroom/shower. No complaints there. Just outside my room, there were rolls of mini pools/hot tubs, which is shared with your next door neighbour. It was quite quiet when I went so it was just me…loved that. Breakfast was included in my room rate and was ok, not that many selection. Some mornings I opted out and went to Louis Mini Market just down the road, about 2 minutes walk. I love that market, the smoothies, sandwiches and other goodies were so nice and made a change from the hotel food. Comes in handy if you fancied something quick and couldn’t wait to go into Kamari to eat. Overall, the hotel was very nice, staff were lovely, the location of the hotel was a bit out of the way, but near the airport. There’s a bus stop just down the road which takes you to the main bus station in Fira for €2 or you can book taxi for €36. I’d recommend if you want to be in a quiet area.

“High expectations but didn’t quite live up to them!”

Was really looking forward to this trip. On the plus side a gorgeous classic greek hotel, white with lots of lovely features. Windmill room is stunning (but no balcony so if you like sitting outside at night, not the room for you). Very clean - maids in every day and never any bother at all. Br… lisää

Was really looking forward to this trip. On the plus side a gorgeous classic greek hotel, white with lots of lovely features. Windmill room is stunning (but no balcony so if you like sitting outside at night, not the room for you). Very clean - maids in every day and never any bother at all. Breakfast, after the initial disappointment of no freshly cooked omelettes, was actually really good and varied from cooked meats to muesli and pastries. On the negative side and some of these will just be preference. Right next to airport so you hear planes at various points in the day (didn’t bother us). Hotel is remote and nearest town (Kamari) to walk to was 40mins. Did find a couple of nice restaurants locally but in middle of nowhere. You need to hire a car if you want to really explore and see all the sights. Bus services were half decent (€2 a trip) and everything starts and ends in Fira. Our hotel told us last bus home was 8pm. Taxis scarce and Uber min charge is around €36 euros. Santorini did not disappoint at all. Weather lovely, history lovely and food across the island lovely. Mainly stuff to greek but had an amazing italian (cacio e pepe) on the last night in Fira. Highly recommend.
