“The perfect villa experience”

Villa Petra Eleni was a fantastic experience. Slightly off ff the beaten track in a very private setting, it's perfect to get away from it all. There is a shady pergola over a little veranda where you can sit all day, enjoying your drinks, looking out over the surrounding hills and mountains. The pool is very clean and a good size. If you fancy a swim in the sea, a convenient beach is only 15 minutes drive away. If you buy some drinks and maybe lunch in the taverna on the beach, you can occupy sunbeds and umbrellas all day without extra charge. Shopping can be done in the little market town of Vrisses (super markets, green grocer, bakery, post office, pharmacy etc.) The villa is 5-10 minutes walk away from the village of Maza, which has a rustic and very authentically Cretan taverna, which we much frequented. Fancier restaurants are within easy driving distance in Rethimnon and Chania. The villa was spacious. The two bigger bedrooms and the kitchen/living area had airconditioning. Towels and bed sheets were changed and bathrooms serviced twice a week by a local lady. The landlord is very kind and couldn't do enough for us. He personally assisted us with booking at popular restaurants and covid tests before the end of the holiay. He also gave us plenty of valuable tips for day trips and immediately responded to any concerns we had. We felt very well looked after. As a little tip, make sure you bring plenty of insect repellent to apply when sitting outdoors, especially first thing in the morning or early evening onwards. Being prepared on that front will make sitting under the beautiful pergola even more enjoyable.

“peaceful rustic beauty and comfort”
A most wonderful 4 days at the Villa Petra. In a quiet private setting but walking distance to a small village with a single taverna that was wonderful. Everything about the house was great -and the little pool was perfection. Views were perfection. Easy to go on day excursions from this location … lisää
A most wonderful 4 days at the Villa Petra. In a quiet private setting but walking distance to a small village with a single taverna that was wonderful. Everything about the house was great -and the little pool was perfection. Views were perfection. Easy to go on day excursions from this location but yet away from tourist crowds. We felt we were in the real Greece from times past. Gregory was helpful and nice -and made sure everything was working and in good shape. I would totally go back. Memories made.

“Dream holidays”
We have spent one week in this gorgeous villa. As we are travelling with two small kids space and amenities are quite important to us. The villa itself is beautiful. We have spent one week in this gorgeous villa. As we are travelling with two small kids space and amenities are quite important to us. The villa itself is beautiful. Big, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher (small, but better than nothing. Even tablets are provided). Big living room, three bedrooms with air conditioning, three bathrooms (one with jacuzzi bathtub:). In mezzanine still two single beds. So there is lots of space. Outside area is a dream - fantastic pool with kids area (60cm deep), BBQ, sun beds, hammock... And for the kids balls, racquets, inflatable mattresses.... The owner is very friendly. He met us at midnight as our flight was really late, prepared baby bed, high chair, explained where we should go, where to eat, where to shop, arranged internet for us as there is no phone line in the house. I would definitely recommend this place to stay as the surroundings are gorgeous, very quiet, no big hotels.... Very romantic:) (even with the kids). Beach and shops are 10mins drive away. Yes, the price is a bit high (especially for Greece), but we would return any moment to spend another holidays there.

“perfect villa”
we enjoyed our stayimg a lot, the owner was very kind and the area is very qiuet and private just 200m away of the village. the pool was very clean we are bery happy with the villa and we recommend it.

“Beautiful house in a very nice setting”
We rented this house for two weeks directly with the owner, M. Papadakis. The house is as beautiful as described on the internet site. There is a maid who come every few days to clean the house. Our kids loved the nice swimming pool which is big enough for a short swimm and had fun trying to play C… lisää
We rented this house for two weeks directly with the owner, M. Papadakis. The house is as beautiful as described on the internet site. There is a maid who come every few days to clean the house. Our kids loved the nice swimming pool which is big enough for a short swimm and had fun trying to play Chess in the garden. There is a very nice Pergola where you can have your meals. There are two big rooms with air conditioning and a small third one without it. The interior is nicely furnished in a Cretan style. You have beautiful views on the mountain and the Olive trees from the house and except from the noise of the crickets and the sheep it is very quiet. The house is situated in the small village of Maza where you can have a meal in the local Tavern. Georgioupoli is only 10 minutes drive where you will find supermarkets, post and restaurants. If you drive a few more kilometers there is a decent sand beach. The owner is friendly and will explain to you the site to visit. The kitchen was well furnished but the dishwasher was very small and not very efficient. Apart from that and maybe the price a bit expensive, we were very pleased with the house and recommand it to any family of 4-6 who wish to have a great relaxing holiday in Crete.
