“Gracious Hosts and Charming, Immaculate Boutique Hotel”

We are Canadians who are bike touring in Italy for several months. We had planned to camp in Marina di camerota, but the campground, and all others in the area were closed. We had biked about 100 km and we were tired and hungry. We wandered into town in search of accommodations. We were drawn to the bright sign of the Albergo delfino and friendly face of an older gentleman who was standing outside. When I asked him if they were open and had room, he immediately warmly welcomed us in. He even helped me push my 80 pound bike. Giuseppe, was his name, and the hotel was run by his family. Encountering Giuseppe and his daughter in law, Mena, who was working at the reception desk, eased our stress. We were immediately impressed by their kindness and hospitality. The entrance of the hotel, which was immaculately clean and full of character also caught our eye. We knew this was where we were to stay. Our room was stunning, again immaculately clean, but also airy, bright, with a lovely, large balcony overlooking town and cozy table and chairs set up. The room was extremely well appointed, with ample linens, storage, amenities and excellent wifi. They even found a safe place to store our bikes overnight. Our breakfast was included and we thoroughly enjoyed the buffet, and one of the family's home made cake. Every member of the family we encountered made our stay extra special. We will not forget their kindness and wish that all travelers could experience such exceptional hospitality. We would highly recommend staying at the Albergo Defino and spending some time visiting this vibrant port town.

“enchanting sea and warm hospitality”

We have just stayed a week in the Albergo Delfino and we have to say that it has been a lovely late summer holiday break. September is a suitable month for those who wish to enjoy the sea and avoid the crowd. The Hotel is bright and family run and located along the small main road of the town a very short walk from the port and the historical centre and Calanca beach (about 5/6 minutes). The cuisine is local and homemade, from the olive oil to the pasta. We had fresh fish courses every day, twice a day. The rooms were very clean and the owners friendly and attentive. The simplicity of the place and the service made us very comfortable and it was easy to relax.
