“Friendly owners”
We had a very long flight when we travelled from Canada to Lima Peru. We requested a taxi to pick us up at the airport at a late arrival. We had a very long flight when we travelled from Canada to Lima Peru. We requested a taxi to pick us up at the airport at a late arrival. They did respond in time and met our request, providing assurance in a city that we did not know. The accommodation was very comfortable and breakfast is included.....it was the best breakfast that we had included on our trip.The owners are very friendly and willing to help with anything to the best of their ability. They speak Engish which really helps, especially when you just arrive in a foreign country.

“Perfect during high season”
I have been in this hotel on the last week in July when the island is full of turists. It was a perfect spot to stay away from the crowds. The hotel is on the hill so it was much cooler at night. I have been in this hotel on the last week in July when the island is full of turists. It was a perfect spot to stay away from the crowds. The hotel is on the hill so it was much cooler at night. The location is easy to reach with at least a couple of bus lines. The hotel offers also a free shuttle service to the beach. the room was small but cozy and clean with a nice balcony. All staff were nice and helpful. The breakfast was good especially the fresh fruit and croissants. We also enjoyed the heated pool outside. We booked many months in advance so we had a good price. I would recommend.

“Could not ask for more!”
I found this gem when we made a last-minute change in our plans and we had no idea how wonderful it was going to be. This is a simple, budget hotel with a 5-star heart and soul. I found this gem when we made a last-minute change in our plans and we had no idea how wonderful it was going to be. This is a simple, budget hotel with a 5-star heart and soul. Let me correct that: find a 5-star hotel that really cares about its guests and let me know when you find one! There is a pleasant large lobby space with a piano, bedrooms are small and simple but spotless, swimming in the hotel's thermal pool was a relaxing experience, breakfast was pleasant and as vegans, we were happy to find fresh fruit. What made our stay magical, though, was the wonderful staff: The lovely Marianna at reception, who is such an asset to the hotel, efficient, trustworthy and so patient with my basic Italian and happy to answer me slowly in Italian though her English is very good! The waiters, Salvadore and Luca, courteous and helpful; the friendly night receptionist; helpers Guglia and Gina, who welcomed us with huge smiles and Antonio, the shuttle driver, friendly and helpful. And conducting this symphony of smiles is the proprietor, lovely Signor Pietro. I will not list his kindnesses and generosity here but will only say that we will never forget them. We paid 2-star prices and received 5-star treatment. And more important, the kindness and warm hospitality that was extended towards us was done simply out of the goodness of these people's hearts. We came for one night and cancelled our original plans so we could stay two more. The hotel is a ten to 15-minute drive from the city centre. If you're renting a car, that's no issue. If not, the hotel shuttle car takes guests to the beach and sometimes to the port by arrangement. For other journeys, it means a local bus which stops three minutes' walk away. We actually enjoyed the scenery on the ride, the quiet surroundings and the lovely view from our little balcony. It reminded us of Tuscany with the extra bonus of these kind, lovely people. Grazie, Signor Pietro, Marianna and all the gang! If we ever make it back to Ischia, we will be back with you, no question about it!

“Perfect for a budget”

Get the hang of the bus service and the Hotel La Luna is a perfect base for you to explore the fantastic Island of Ischia.
