This hotel is located on the steep hills of Forio. There's a shuttle bus driven by the owners very frequently to and from downtown Forio as well as to Giardini Poseidon Terme, which makes it very convenient. The rooms are very spacious, clean and well maintained. Even though we went in mid-June, the room was very cool and comfortable at night. Breakfast tailored to Western/German influence which included boil egg, cereal in addition to traditional Italian sweet breakfast. We really appreciated the eggs. The staff were very friendly and welcome. Prices were very reasonable, it is a deal! Highly recommended. Will definitely go back when we have a chance.

La Rosa is where Italians go. This place is popular among locals and informed Germans. Some Russians have been here as well as best as I can figure. The experience is one of a kind. There is no way to describe this is a quick review, but if you are interested in a one time experience, this place will get you. The local food and hospitality is the closest you will get, provided you are a " I wanna know how it really is" person. As a "outsider"(maybe the first American since like forever there), I can tell you it is a "one off" there is so much a simple review cannot cover it. My best shot is: this is a family place, with lots of Italian families around, (owners and Guests alike) and if you want to surround yourself with real local life, this is the place to do it. This place is on top of a hill, that even local taxi drivers won´t go, you gotta ask the hotel to pick you up. (crazy but true). Family friendly, fantastic food, but you want to be adventurist to experience this place. a memory you will never forget.

The free transport to and from the beaches etc was excellent and is a must if staying here as the hotel is situated high up on a hill, stunning views, breakfast was good and only dined 1 night at the hotel, the food was just about average. Angelo the owner can be either good or paoor depending on what mood he is in, be careful if using the air conditioning as there is a charge for this which is not explained to guests, on the day we were leaving we presented with a bill for the air conditioning which we refused to pay, Angelo went into some kind of frenzy as we explained that we were not made aware of any additional charges and was insisting that we paid, if you book this hotel keep all you emails and ensure that you have a total price for your stay with no additional hidden costs, some of the rooms with a bar was closed also some other rooms were closed, not sure why, beware the bedding is only changed if you ask, also the towels once a week only which meant that we washed our towels daily

“Charming Hotel”

We booked this hotel based on feedback from Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed! The rooms were spacious with a great view from our balconys. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We booked this hotel based on feedback from Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed! The rooms were spacious with a great view from our balconys. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was typically Italian, which was fine with us having lived in Naples for four years. The pool area was suitable for relaxation and the lobby area was OK. We were somewhat surprised over the fact that we had to pay an extra 4 Euro per day for the use of the fridge in our room. The hotel also charged extra for the use of A/C and internett in the rooms. This is understandable but slightly frustrating. The shuttlebus (navetta) from the hotel to the city centre and the beaches was highly convenient.
