“Decent for the price”

After reading reviews, we approached with caution - but balanced with the fact that our family of 6 stayed half board for under £2400 for a week in August (including flights and transfers), we were pleasantly surprised. After reading reviews, we approached with caution - but balanced with the fact that our family of 6 stayed half board for under £2400 for a week in August (including flights and transfers), we were pleasantly surprised. The food isn’t that of a five star hotel, but we weren’t paying 5 star prices. There was plenty of choice at breakfast, our favourites being the freshly cooked omelettes and pancakes. Some evenings the food was better than others, the stir fry was particularly tasty, and we enjoyed the noodle dishes. Others have mentioned flies, and yes there were flies about the place but I can’t see how you prevent this and have often experienced flies in Spain. The accommodation is basic but clean. Air con is great and needed in the August heat! There are several pools, all of which we spent hours at, our children liked the one next to the toddler slide pool the best. The store within the complex is small and limited with choice but if you need a bottle of water or Fanta it suffices! Bring duty free vodka and off you go :) The local beach is pleasant and has a nice little cocktail bar. We were told that the food truck nearly opposite the hotel sold nice food, but didn’t get chance to go there. Maybe next time. There is a bar up the road with a soft play, pool and inflatables that our children enjoyed. In summary this was a bargain last minute break, located near a lovely safe Minorcan cove. The kids loved it. I would say if you can hire a car to see more of the island do so. My third time here and this time not having a car, I’ve missed finding the little gems. We did catch the bus a couple of times, really easy from nearly outside the hotel to Cuitidella, worth a visit :) and Cala n Bosch - the buses are cheap, air conditioned and reliable,

“Good but needs some refurbishmenttment”

The Hotel reception staff, Asma and Nuria were very friendly, helpful, especially with printing our Boarding passes Tour vouchers. The Villa Blanc srlf catering cottage apartments where we stayed needs some refurbishment to update lighting, kitchen, electric sockets etc.
