Just returned from a 7 day break at Sagitario Playa Hotel Really couldn’t fault it. Very relaxing, which is what my partner Sue and I wanted. The hotel was very very clean and the pool was cleaned every day including a man going out every morning at 7.30 to clear all away the leaves that had fallen from the trees during the night. The food, which was Buffet style was very varied, with lots of choice, some to my liking some not, but there was plenty to enjoy, the Carved Roast Beef was excellent. The entertainment was always enjoyable and the Saturday night Dancing, compared very much to Strictly with the Locals coming in for the evening. I have to thank the Bar staff, BL, Juan and Marko, who always seemed to remember which drink you liked. The Hotel has invested this year, with new Sun Loungers around the pool, plus Rattan Furniture seating, with cushions. The pool has a gentle step entrance created this year to the pool and for those with mobility issues, this is a great addition. We had room 208 which has the sun all through the day and has a great view over the pool All in all, the holiday was money well spent. I recommend this hotel to those who want peace and quiet and a relaxing time

Nice, clean hotel with friendly staff. Pool and rooms cleaned daily, leaves swept up daily and pool area power-washed. Beds very comfortable. Our room had the sun obscured all day by a very large tree just outside the balcony. This was not too much of a problem for us so we didn't complain, or ask for a different room. Food: good variety, but quite often cold, or tepid at best, unless you selected newly-cooked by chef in front of you. Tea and coffee making facilities in room, and small fridge. Was surprised and delighted to see 18 coat- hangers in wardrobe, all of the same type and in good condition! A towel for the sunloungers and a bathrobe were supplied in the room for each person, which was a nice touch. Several supermarkets within walking distance, and beach also within walking distance. A cave just across the road from the hotel is worth a visit. The coast path, especially to the South, is very rough walking, so suitable footwear is advised.

I was very pleased with my choice of hotel. I sent an email in advance asking if I could have a walk in shower and a pool view. My only disappointment was it wasn't a sunny balcony. I was very pleased with my choice of hotel. I sent an email in advance asking if I could have a walk in shower and a pool view. My only disappointment was it wasn't a sunny balcony. Of course in the heat of July/ August most people would probably glad it was in the shade of a large pine tree. The other advantage was being at the end of the corridor I heard no noise from other people. The room was well equipped with a tea tray and an excellent fridge. The towels very good quality as was the bedding. I personally found the bed quite firm but asked for a duvet which I folded into 4 and slept on this. I have osteoporosis so this helped. The bathroom had a large walk in shower. I only wish there had been a shelf to put toiletries on as it was not easy to handle shampoo / condition / soap on the slippy floor. The breakfast was fine for me but unfortunately there was very little I could eat on a night. A lot of meals I couldn't eat and a lot I didn't like. Fortunately for me I ate on a lunch time at the pool bar. I was very happy with hamburger and chips. The staff there were very kind. At no time did I feel awkward being on my own. I have to mention Gabriel who has a fantastic memory for people's drinks / room numbers to charge etc. I found all the staff in the hotel very helpful and pleasant. Also a mention of the wonderful indoor pool and the lady there. What a wonderful facility this is. Unfortunately Cala Blanca is not the resort for me as it is too quiet. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Sagitario Playa to anyone. Thank you for a lovely week.

“A shame the food as cold.”

We were pleased with the room. It was cleaned and was provided with clean towels everyday. The staff at the hotel were nice and Friendly. Now the negatives:- The food was cold. We were pleased with the room. It was cleaned and was provided with clean towels everyday. The staff at the hotel were nice and Friendly. Now the negatives:- The food was cold. It didn't matter which meal either breakfast or evening meal, the food was cold. There was also limited choice. The set up is also not practical. You have to bunch up in each corner to reach the food as all the food was in a line against one wall. I observed many people walking around with nearly empty plates as there wasn't a lot of choice.I Another downside was that there were a lot of flies in the dining room. May be out of the staff's control but wasn't good. If the food was hot I would have rated it much more as the hotel itself is nice and in a quiet area. There was plenty of sunbeds around the pool and no one put towels on to save them. A nice positive.
