We stayed at Meliá Lanzarote at the end of January 2025, booking a Reserve Junior Suite, and what a brilliant decision that was! From start to finish, this trip was nothing short of wonderful. The room was fantastic – beautifully designed, spacious, and offering stunning sea views. One of our favourite spots was the balcony, which stayed lovely and warm even in January – the perfect place to relax with a drink. Speaking of drinks, the mini-fridge was restocked daily with a great selection, which was a really nice touch. And the bed? Utterly comfortable – I slept like a baby! Food & Drink – An Absolute Treat We made it our mission to try every restaurant, and we were not disappointed! Each one had something special to offer, but our absolute favourite was the tasting menu at ‘La Graciosa’ – a real standout experience. Every dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavour. The main buffet restaurant was also fabulous, offering a huge variety of dishes that kept things exciting every night. The Reserve – Worth Every Penny! If you’re wondering whether The Reserve is worth the upgrade – absolutely, 100% yes! The exclusive pool is gorgeous and peaceful, with a bar that serves delicious food throughout the day. Breakfast in The Reserve was top-tier, with a relaxed atmosphere and a great selection. Evenings in the Reserve Lounge were a real highlight. So quiet and relaxing, with a superb selection of fine Scotch, brandy, and spirits – a great way to wind down after a day in the sun. Outstanding Staff A huge shoutout to the amazing staff who made our stay extra special. Anneka and Carina in The Reserve were fantastic, always so helpful and friendly. And a special mention to Miguel, who waited on us for two nights and was so incredibly welcoming – he really made our evenings feel special. Final Thoughts We loved every minute of our stay and will definitely be coming back – though next time, we’ll be staying a little longer! 😉 If you’re considering booking Meliá Lanzarote, especially The Reserve, don’t hesitate – you won’t regret it!

We had a fantastic team at las Salinas, staff who organised the entertainment . Barbara was particularly helpful to us and we want to single her out as doing more than we could have asked for. They made our stay truly memorable. All our wishes and needs were catered for.

But outdoor pool should be heated for a luxury hotel this price - it was as cold as going into the sea , so no one uses the pool, even the outdoor shower for before/after pool use was with ice cold water!!.Had intended to use pool while on holiday for the week stay, but as pool water was too cold only used once. Ice cube facility could be provided with the minibar in the room like in other 4-5 star hotels where it is standard or have a room on each floor with an ice cube machine . Otherwise staff very accommodating and very helpful.

“Poor Value for an all inclusive”

An all inclusive hotel should be good value. This hotel unfortunately is not. The meals are not always particularly attractive. We ate out because of that a number of times. An all inclusive hotel should be good value. This hotel unfortunately is not. The meals are not always particularly attractive. We ate out because of that a number of times. This negates the point of all inclusive. They have a number of special restaurants which we were unfortunately never able to book. Their local Canarian restaurant was nice. The Middle Eastern was awful. Never managed to get into the Italian. The Ginger bar with simple bar snacks and sandwiches was reliably the best. The main restaurant reminded me of school dinners. The hotel operates a two tier first and second class system. I don’t think the second class, which is what I booked, is cheap. In fact this is one of Lanzarote’s most expensive hotels. But there is a first class, more expensive grading. So if you want a nice lounger it’s another 45€day. Private pool area, decent breakfast, access to restaurants etc etc only if you’re first class. We ended up spending most days out of the hotel. The hotel itself is well presented, maintained, clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. But I would not book a Meliá all inclusive again.
