“Pleasantly surprised”

We booked this hotel as a last minute deal right at the end of August at a dirt cheap price so wasn’t expecting much but had prepared ourselves from the reviews. We were actually pleasantly surprised by it. We had booked self catering as we love to explore and when we got there they couldn’t find our booking so we were temporary given a family room for 2 days whilst ours was ready. They gave us some all inclusive wrist bands as compensation which was great! Pros - Cala llonga is a beautiful cove, with a lovely beach Lots of authentic restaurants not a British pub in sight The hill was great to burn off the calories we ate and drank It’s cheap in a taxi as close to airport and old town The boat ride is fab straight from the cove Hotel pool is nice and big and we always got a sun lounger without reserving one Our self catering room was lovely and big The food we did eat was fine, nothing amazing but we always like to eat out and explore Cons - if you are in J/H/I block they are up steep steps and hauling your cases up there in 30 degree heat is no fun The drinks token thing is a bit naff but like I say we were out most evenings If your a normal fit person the hill to walk up and down is nothing No mirror in the room expect for the bathroom which was a nightmare for 3 girls getting ready If your the sort of person that never leaves the hotel it won’t be that good For us it was a base to sleep as we explored all over the island so for the price we had an amazing time

I have already written a review but I forgot to add on our first night , it dangerous that we got locked in our room and it took us a long time to get out . When I mentioned it at the reception I saw they weren’t fazed . They may taken it more seriously , if we been locked in during a fire ? Beca… lisää

I have already written a review but I forgot to add on our first night , it dangerous that we got locked in our room and it took us a long time to get out . When I mentioned it at the reception I saw they weren’t fazed . They may taken it more seriously , if we been locked in during a fire ? Because I couldn’t see no other route out in a fire . Not even a large enough window. We Lubricated the door ourself and tried to relax about it , as we didn’t see anyone come to fix it .

“Girls weekend away”

We went as a group of friends with age ranges from 20's to 70's. Yes there are a lot of steps but we were OK with that and the hill up to the hotel was a little steep for some of the group but a taxi was very cheap and always available. The rooms are basic and the bathroom is probably due a facelif… lisää

We went as a group of friends with age ranges from 20's to 70's. Yes there are a lot of steps but we were OK with that and the hill up to the hotel was a little steep for some of the group but a taxi was very cheap and always available. The rooms are basic and the bathroom is probably due a facelift but no problems to make note of and we hadn't come away to be in the room much anyway. One recommendation would be to have a mirror in the room as the only one was in the bathroom. The pool area and bar was a nice area and the staff were polite and pleasant. Jesus on reception was very pleasant too. The food was fine with plenty to choose from, maybe it was a little cool sometimes but there was a microwave available to warm through if required. The only downside was that the hotel was closing on our last day there, so there were no amenities after 11am except for the luggage room and the snack bar didn't open the day before they closed down either which should have been explained in advance. On the whole we had a lovely time and would go back again.

“Dirty Old Town Hotel”

Just spent 1 week here as a family. We knew what to expect for a 2* hotel so here’s our honest opinion. Just spent 1 week here as a family. We knew what to expect for a 2* hotel so here’s our honest opinion. Check in was smooth by Jesus then the rooms… we are in our 50 s n 30s so climbing a few stair with luggage was ok but we was in blocks I & J this was a total of 115 steps to the room numerous times a day, it was a killer to say the least!The apartments wasn’t very clean and the maid only came to the room twice with towels but never swept/ or changed bedding during our stay which is unacceptable., really the place as a whole wasn’t very clean which regardless of the star rating it should be good on the eye for the paying guest. The food was quite good with a variable selection during each meal although often cold. The pool bar was the only one open which you was given a token for a plastic cup day / night in exchange for a drink( never heard of it before) the entertainment consisted of karaoke, music quiz, bingo. The staff were quite miserable, maybe cos it was end of season? ( closed today 15th oct) but remaining guests for few more nights were moved to another hotel for the rest of their holiday which isn’t good either. Cala Llonga is a quiet resort and not much to do so definitely wouldn’t return to this resort or the hotel
