I traveled with my wife and son. Hotel was very clean with rooms cleaned daily. Good selection of food, always found something to eat. The sun didn't really get to the poolside until after 12 but the pool area was very clean. The entertainment team finish at 6pm and keep you entertained during the day with the usual indoor/outdoor games. I have to thank Emiilia from the team as she spent time every day with my son helping him with his Spanish. Now comes the down part. I know we traveled outwith peak season and it may be better during peak season but the evening entertainment for most of the holiday was non existent. First few nights was the entertainment rep playing music, That was ok and passed the evening. From then on nothing for the tourist. It was a duet who sung everything in Spanish, then had some Spanish karaoke. The hotel appeared to be set up for the Spanish. We did inquire but were told school children 1st, Spanish OAP's 2nd then tourists. I would suggest the hotel make guests aware who are travelling outwith peak season that everything is changed to accommodate the Spanish. Would I travel to this hotel outside peak season - No Would I travel to this hotel in peak season - Possibly

Pros and cons after our week. Food: generally enjoyed meals and always found something I liked although as mentioned below the menu wasn't really suited to British guests. This is probably the most British thing I'll ever say when I say they didn't have gravy. Cleanliness: The housekeeping staff were a credit to the hotel and deserve every penny they earn. Towels changed daily, beds made and rooms cleaned to a high standard. Rooms: Bright, modern and clean but maybe lacking in bedside storage. No draws but small tables either side of beds. Only ITV missing from the 5 mainstream UK TV channels. Tip is they're not listed in the guide but if you scroll enough they should be there. Location: 2 mins from Fenals beach. A handful of British bars nearby which we didn't try except one. Buses to Barcelona (1hr) and Tossa de Mar (about 25 mins) from the top of the street. Bus to Lloret centre from literally outside the hotel. Pools: Large main pool and a kids pool with various small slides and splash accessories. Adults only jaccuzi area on the 7th floor. Originally told the area was open but no bar until one day when a family ignored the rules and peoples desire for quiet by taking their 6 or so kids up there. A complaint was made and rather than eject the kids we were threatened with closure of the area. Next day it was closed which management assured us it was nothing to do with the incident but we predicted it would get closed. Entertainment: Started off with a few nights of the animation team playing songs and taking requests which we enjoyed and one night a girl sang and spoke to guests in English and Spanish, again enjoyable. Then the real downside was when a coach load of Spanish guests arrived. Not the fault of those on the tour but a couple who I believe were part of the coach party sang their whole 1 hour+ show in Spanish without so much as speaking one word of English or any other language for that matter. Fair enough Spanish guest were a large proportion of those staying in the hotel but so were those of other nationalities. Marta ( manager) assured us things would be different after we endured 2 consecutive nights of this but on our last night it was yet another 100% Spanish night. A few issues for management to look at but having said that I would stay here again in the unlikely event we return to Lloret de Mar.
