“A Pleasant Surprise”

What a pleasant surprise VEA was! We "just" needed a hotel for our son's graduation from UCI and I looked around the Marriott hotels in the area and thought VEA looked interesting. It was more than interesting, it was a sanctuary! A little heaven in the busy lives of ours! As you drive in, you immediately get a feel of tranquility and luxury. We were greeted by Brian at the front desk. Super friendly and he helped us get a fantastic room/suite overlooking the Pacific. Thank you Brian, you set the stage for our whole stay! Now, we first got a little skeptical going to our rooms as this is a beach hotel style with motel like outside open walkways to your room, thus hm, what is happening here... then entering the room, you got back into a world of luxury! High standard and amazing views! After graduation the day after, we took advantage of the pool and bar area and chilled, before we had lunch at View. Great service and food, another big plus for VEA. All in all, we had an amazing experience and will stay again!

“Upscale Resort Style Hotel”
We stayed here for a weekend getaway. The staff was very friendly. Very nice resort style hotel across the street from Fashion Island. Everything was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The room had a spectacular view of the pool, golf course, and ocean in the background. Will definitely stay here… lisää

“Awesome”
Great service and very helpful. A.j. had a great knowledge of the area and made a very fun experience for us! Offered to pick us up and made it very easy to contact him thru the app to pick us up. We look forward to meeting him again for our next adventure!

This newly remodeled hotel is perfect for a stay in the area. My room on a higher floor was clean and quiet and had a great view. This newly remodeled hotel is perfect for a stay in the area. My room on a higher floor was clean and quiet and had a great view. A special shout out to Jillian at the front desk who could not have been more helpful with suggestions for what to do in the area. The cleaning personnel that I interacted with on two different floors could not have been more gracious. The hotel provides a free shuttle to sites nearby and it is situated directly across the street from a large shopping mall with many restaurants

“Not Worth it For One Night Stay as Titanium”
Live in North Orange County and chose for a night to be close to a surgical center for an early procedure for a family member. Lifetime Titanium and had better hopes. Live in North Orange County and chose for a night to be close to a surgical center for an early procedure for a family member. Lifetime Titanium and had better hopes. No room upgrade, put us in the "Sky Tower" which is a horribly long walk for not having an alternative entry, couldn't move due to room type (2Q). The "free continental breakfast for 2" is actually a $60 breakfast voucher which sounds generous, but it starts with an 18% "staff charge" which then is followed by the now-ubiquitous tip line. It's at best a "discounted breakfast for 2". $50 valet parking and a resort fee that gives you things that are of no use for a one-night stay. Then the 830 wakeup call with the garbage truck and the 430a malfunctioning bathroom light sensor. Rooms a tad small and have a weird shower visibility door. Yes it's a nice hotel overall, everyone was friendly, and the facilities were spectacular. But unless you're going for 2 or more days and purely for relaxation, this may not be your best choice for value. And also buy the room you want.
