“Very good hotel in NYC”

We stayed there for 2 nights and everything was very good. It was our second visit and as good as the first one. Close to Central Park, subway and Natural History Museum. Very comfortable beds, modern TVs, hair dryer and a courtesy coffee.

I read some mixed reviews and was thrilled when I arrived at the Excelsior Hotel. The front desk managers were very friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean. I read some mixed reviews and was thrilled when I arrived at the Excelsior Hotel. The front desk managers were very friendly and helpful. The room was big and clean. The bathroom was clean, white, and ample size. The beds were comfortable. We were on the 10th floor and couldn’t hear any noise from inside or outside the hotel. The neighborhood was safe, quiet, and not overly crowded. I look forward to a return trip to the Excelsior Hotel and will never stay anywhere else when in NYC.

“Good Choice!”

I stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised. This is a terrific part of Manhattan....less crowded and much more manageable than busy, overcrowded, pushy Midtown. Terrific restaurants nearby and free coffee, tea and granola bars to indulge in while waiting for your family getting ready in th… lisää

I stayed here recently and was pleasantly surprised. This is a terrific part of Manhattan....less crowded and much more manageable than busy, overcrowded, pushy Midtown. Terrific restaurants nearby and free coffee, tea and granola bars to indulge in while waiting for your family getting ready in the morning. It's a bit old fashioned...which I appreciate. I certainly will consider staying here again!

“Great Week-end Stay”

We had a great stay at the Excelsior --we were three couples traveling together and had rooms on the 10th floor. We had a great stay at the Excelsior --we were three couples traveling together and had rooms on the 10th floor. Ours was on the back side and very quiet (other times we've stayed in mid-town so big difference!) Front side room had a beautiful view. We parked at the Science museum so it was only $30 for 24 hours w/validation by the hotel. Beds were so comfy. Can be warm, but windows do open and we could cool our room off using the wall thermostat. Great neighborhood--a lot of nice restaurants that you can easily walk to--we did the Milling Room for dinner before our show and Orwasher's for coffee/breakfast on Sunday. We walked across to the Met Museum thru' Central Park and also easy subway access. We also used Uber XL twice which for a group of 6 was super convenient (have never had luck getting a cab for more than 2 people at a time when in NYC) We will definitely be back!
