Aquarius Synopses: Clean room and casino ~ Outback Steakhouse seemed a step better than other Outbacks ~ Only negative was that there was no in-room safe ~ I would stay again. I'd not been to Laughlin in 30 years and I stayed at the old Flamingo that is now the Aquarius. The property was clean and the staff pleasant. I had heard some negative things about Laughlin and their casinos, so I was surprised how much I enjoyed my stay there. The River Walk and the water taxis are fun, and the dinner cruise that leaves from the Aquarius dock was excellent. I played in a poker tournament at the Riverside (a busy casino!) that was well run, and I tried to play poker at Harrah's. Their Saturday night tournament did not take place and I was not impressed with their cash game. While in Laughlin, I drove to Kingman and Oatman, AZ, via old Route 66 and thoroughly recommend it. i also visited Grapevine Canyon. Excellent. I was concerned about the road, but it was a piece of cake. P.S. I was not drunk as a skunk staggering back to my room one night, but I did find a friendly skunk!

The hotel was nice and they are doing a lot of updates in the Casino which I can only assume will be positive. We only ate a breakfast "bite" at the but Duets has good pastries and other small things for that meal. Laughlin has lost a lot of business since the Pandemic but this hotel does not app… lisää

The hotel was nice and they are doing a lot of updates in the Casino which I can only assume will be positive. We only ate a breakfast "bite" at the but Duets has good pastries and other small things for that meal. Laughlin has lost a lot of business since the Pandemic but this hotel does not appear to be on a downward spiral. I normally write pretty positive reviews but we did have a very disturbing thing happen while visiting. We were with a bus tour and arrived at about 3PM. We heard that Jay Leno was going to be next door at the Edgewater (owned by the same company) for one show only that night. We rushed next door and got tickets for a few cents less than $90 each with taxes. We went over a little early (thank goodness) and were told that our purses could not be taken into the show that they have a "clear bag" policy. For one thing, I couldn't figure out what that meant and for another thing they did not mention it while selling the tickets. If the term had been "transparent purse" I would have understood and we did notice signs around with the term clear bag later but to us that just meant inspecting what we had in our purses like they do at the theatre at home. My friends rushed back, dropped off the purses and got back in time to see a great show by Jay so it ended on a positive. They need to use more descriptive words on the signs, warn people buying the tickets AND at least have someone selling cheap transparent plastic containers near the show. They didn't even sell them at the gift shop (our first thought).

“Good choice on the river”

This was the first time we have stayed here. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom is single vanity with little space; however, the hot water was instant hot. This was the first time we have stayed here. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom is single vanity with little space; however, the hot water was instant hot. The shower took some figuring out as the lever to change from bath to shower is below the faucet so it was difficult to see. Valet parking was a bit tricky as we are used to parking for registration and getting the instructions for in and out and the layout. Not the case here. You either have them valet park or go self park, and carry your stuff from the lot to the hotel. The valet attendants were helpful and quick. The casino/hotel had a nice variety of food sources. The Outback was good, with friendly service. They also have a McDonald’s, a coffee and deli cafe, and a pizza restaurant, as well as an oyster bar (I believe, but we did not try it). All were good. Overall we had a good stay.
