“An all around good business experience”
Last week, my team and I put on our quarterly 2 day workshop in the Fairfield Marriott at their Southpoint Durham North Carolina location. The staff at the Marriott were incredible. Last week, my team and I put on our quarterly 2 day workshop in the Fairfield Marriott at their Southpoint Durham North Carolina location. The staff at the Marriott were incredible. I have to say, of all the hotels we've done this event at, this experience was by far the best. Especially a gentleman named Alexander. He made us feel like we were the most important people in the hotel. Some of us also stayed at the hotel for the event. My room was very clean and quiet. The breakfast was good and once again, the staff who set up the breakfast were very accomodating with any questions we had. I look forward to doing our event again at this location in February. Thank you so much!

“Very enjoyable, relaxing, quiet and safe!”

I have stayed at a lot of Marriott properties throughout my 35 years in the industry as a traveling sales engineer ... and this hotel is simply one of my all-time favorites! The hallways and rooms are clean. It is moderately priced, easy to access, fast check-in, quick elevators! The lobby is spacious, with ample room to spread out in the lobby for a satisfying breakfast, cup of coffee or to just use your laptop. The evening, morning and breakfast staff there is wonderful to deal with and always accommodating! I have never met one staff remember yet, that hasn't made me feel welcomed and appreciated! Having said this, I want to send a special thanks to Mr. Alexander Taylor (Guest Services Manager) he is amazing and has always made me feel especially welcomed during my overnight or extended stays! Thank you for your kindness and professionalism! Not even a 1/4 mile down the street is Southpoint Mall with a large choice of restaurants to choose from. If you just want some comfort food, there is a Chick-fil-A a very short walk, just across from the hotel. No dangerous traffic to navigate in getting there.

“Nice people but what is that smell”
Room smelled musty and was consistently humid. Like there was something wrong with the HVAC system. It wasn’t a problem in the main lobby. Even having the AC on wouldn’t fix it. Their pool was being used for British Swim School lessons so we weren’t able to use it.
