Lovely hotel in the Old Bank, with high ceilings and ornate decor. 100 year old lifts so were sometimes temperamental. Great location for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Browns and Guardians Stadiums, and down to the water front. There was a good selection of restaurants just across the street. No ice machine, but the lady in the breakfast area gave us ice when we asked in the morning. Good breakfast selection. Good room size, we had a double queen room, very spacious. Parking is expensive around the building, they do offer valet but it is still $39 Amazing showers, great water pressure.

“Exceptional employee”

I can’t say enough about Monica, who ran the breakfast bar She was a ray of sunshine greeting each guest with a smile and a warm good morning. She continually refreshed breakfast items and cleared tables. She deserves being recognized for the good work she is doing.

This hotel is interesting… The location is great, walking distance to many things in downtown Cleveland. The building is very old, which is sort of cool. The hallways to the rooms look like they’re out of a horror movie (again very old) and the rooms are… unique. Our room had wood floors which was nice. But, they had water stains all over them. The very high ceilings were neat. The furniture was pretty beat up, stained, and you could tell it had all been there for a long time. The bathroom was not clean. We were only there for one night and did not want to use the shower or spend any extra time in the bathroom. It appears they tried to update the countertops and paint, but it was just dingy and kind of gross. The bed was pretty comfortable, as were the pillows. The sheets appeared clean and fresh. Due to the overall feel of the room, I did check for bugs. Luckily, I didn’t see anything. Overall feeling of the room was outdated and dingy. The highlight was the complimentary breakfast. It was clean and well cared for. The lady who runs it is lovey and friendly. They have a bigger variety of breakfast options than most other hotels with complimentary breakfast.

“Historic building but dated”

Just average because it really lacks a lot of things that are typical for a Holiday Inn. Very dated. Extremely loud. You can hear every car drive by. The valet is expensive and super slow. The location is amazing and it does make up for the lack of amenities inside.
