We had a one-night stay with two young kids on a family vacation road trip before Christmas. Overall, this is a well-maintained property with larger rooms. ***Location and Parking*** The hotel is right off I-15. It is about one hour north of Zion National Park, and about three and half hours from Salt Lake City. So it is the logical location after our visit to the Zion and on our way to Salt Lake. The Cedar City might be the biggest town in the area and on our way, we researched before and other towns within an hour of driving are all much smaller. There are many restaurants and stores in town although we didn’t go. This might be one of the best hotels in town if you chose to stay in Cedar City. There seemed to be multiple chain hotels in the same area within several blocks. There is a Holiday Inn Express across the parking lot, and a Courtyard on the other side of the street. The parking lot in front of the building has plenty of spaces, however there seemed to be road/parking constructions next to the parking lot, so be careful at night since there wasn’t much of lighting on the street on around the parking lot. ***Facility and Room*** The facility seemed to be well maintained considering this was built in 2006-2007, and the most recent renovation was in 2013. The room is larger than a standard hotel room with separate sitting area and sofa, it is good for our kids so they don’t have to sit in the bed all the time like in the normal hotel rooms. Everything in the room is in good condition and functioning. Much better than the MGM Grand we just came from the previous nights. Beds and pillows were comfortable. ***Hot Breakfast*** Hot breakfast is definitely a plus when you have young kids, so you don’t need to look for breakfast every morning. This hotel has the very simple “hot breakfast” that Mariott properties normally offer at this hotel’s tier level. The breakfast area was very small and behind a wall by design, was hard to move/turn around there. It was not very crowded for the Tuesday morning before Christmas we were there. It seems Springhill properties do not provide coffee/water in the lobby other than during the breakfast time, which was a surprise. That might be how Marriott wants you to remember and distinguish between each product, other Marriott products seem all providing hot coffee in the lobby throughout the day. The next Springhill we stayed the next day in Salt Lake did not provide coffee/water in the lobby either. It was just an empty lobby without anything to make you feel welcoming. Not a big deal, but a little bit surprised. ***Staff*** Hotel staffs are good in general. Front desk staffs would greet you when you pass by, and most times there would be just one staff there. All front desk staffs were nice and with smiles on their faces all the time, and willing to answer any questions for you. ***Overall*** For a one-night stay in a small town on the road, this property met all expectations. Will stay here again next time in the area. Would love to have hot coffee in lobby during the day.

The room was very spacious, the pullout was very comfortable, and the shower was INCREDIBLE. Prefect pressure and heat. The one disappointment was the hot tub; it was borderline cold!

“Stay here in Price”

This was a substitute hotel for the truly awful Greenwell Inn. It is clean, comfortable and has a great restaurant and very friendly bar. Very friendly staff too. Conveniently located right off the main highway and with really easy parking. Breakfast was excellent.

“Choose a different hotel”

The front desk controls the room thermostat. We couldn’t change above 74 and asked why. They say they set “parameters.” Is that even legal? Old hotel. Rooms are small and dark with thin walls. Don’t let online pictures fool you. Needs lots of updating.
