“Amazing wedding experience!”

Our daughter just celebrated her wedding this past weekend at the Kimpton Marlowe, and I can't imagine a more perfect experience! We visited quite a few venues that we loved, but once we found KM and Rachel, we knew we had found our place. I'm not sure where to begin! The planning process was never stressful thanks to Rachel's patience, professionalism and organizational skills. Our daughter lives out of state, and I can only imagine the insane amount of emails that flew back and forth between her and Rachel! She kept us all calm, and we were always confident that the day would be perfect because of her extraordinary efforts. The venue itself has everything a bridal party could want. It's in an accessible location for out of state visitors to explore Boston and Cambridge. The staff are all warm, friendly and eager to help with anything. The price is very reasonable; we had ruled out Boston/Cambridge because of our budget, but KM turned out to be right on target. There is convenient parking on site. We were offered a block of rooms in the hotel for an amazingly good price, so that our guests didn't have to worry about driving after a big party! The food was exceptional, from appetizers to dinner and even late night snacks of pizza, cookies and milk! The reception room was gorgeous and is very easy to work with because of the neutral colors. I think one of our favorite parts was that we had the entire second floor of the hotel to ourselves! The ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and even a room for the bride to retreat when she needed to change was all included. The younger guests danced until the very end, and the "older" parents and guests found a quiet spot to hang out in the lobby area outside of the reception hall, filled with comfortable sofas, chairs and tables. All who attended were happy with the many choices to party, relax and mingle. In my opinion, KM and Rachel are a still a hidden gem in the greater Boston area. I hope this review helps to get the word out that they are the place to go if you are looking for an affordable option with fabulous spaces, delicious food and most of all, an event planner who puts her heart and soul into everything she does. “Kimpton Marlowe a great stay”
We stayed for the Cambridge half-marathon. Everybody was great, customer focused staff. Teddy the doorman (and the other two doorman) were great friendly helpful faces. Rooms were great, the drink bar was a nice touch and we were glad to use the bikes, too!

“Awesome Service”
We had a fantastic experience. Service was great, especially Devon at front desk and Ben who helped us with our luggage. Ben made sure to ask if we needed any anything whenever he saw us in lobby, since we had our baby with us too. He was so kind and helpful. Location is great too as it's walking d… lisää
We had a fantastic experience. Service was great, especially Devon at front desk and Ben who helped us with our luggage. Ben made sure to ask if we needed any anything whenever he saw us in lobby, since we had our baby with us too. He was so kind and helpful. Location is great too as it's walking distance to Harvard with easy train access to Boston! Cambridge itself is one of the best "college towns" in the US. Kimpton will be our top choice on subsequent trips to Boston.

“Lovely weekend at Kimpton Marlowe”

Our 2nd time staying at the Kimpton Marlowe and we are very happy we returned. Beautiful property in a great location. Not too close but also not far from Boston Logan airport. Our room was spacious and comfortable with a view of the courtyard. Ample bathroom with really good water pressure and temperature. The closet was sufficient for our weekend visit and the complimentary umbrella is a nice touch. Thankfully we didn’t need it on this visit. Decent sized mini fridge and safe are also appreciated. In the lobby, there was a lovely beverage stand with complimentary hot chocolate available each day. It was delicious. There was also a Christmas-themed Miracle pop up bar, perfect for adults to enjoy fun holiday cocktails, snacks, and desserts. The Kimpton Marlowe also caters to pets and they are welcomed with snacks and their names on a notice board. Thankfully, the hotel is very well maintained and always smells clean and inviting.

“Very good visit”
This weekend was Head of the Charles and also Parents’ Weekend at several colleges so our “usual” hotel was booked. We decided to give the Kimpton a try based on reviews. This weekend was Head of the Charles and also Parents’ Weekend at several colleges so our “usual” hotel was booked. We decided to give the Kimpton a try based on reviews. Pros: excellent/convenient location, common areas are nice, customer service was very good, breakfast at Bambara was yummy. Cons: our room (732) is showing signs of wear and the fridge makes a lot of noise as does the bathroom plumbing when not in use (the shower made banging noises and the toilet water was constantly running) . We were only there one night so asking for a room change wasn’t worth it. Would consider staying there again despite the minor issue of room noise.
