“Best Decision!”

Room layout is lovely, staff are friendly, the bar food is exquisite and the bed was very comfy. Stayed here because I had a 10 hour layover from 10am- 9pm and I gotta say- even though i couldn't bother tay overnight- it was really great. This is will my gi to spot next time.

Overall this hotel exceeded my expectations. They let me do a super early check in and when I arrived in my room it was better than expected. Overall this hotel exceeded my expectations. They let me do a super early check in and when I arrived in my room it was better than expected. It literally had everything I needed and allowed me to work remotely with ease. My only nitpick with this hotel is that they charge for parking when no other hotels in the area that I've stayed at before charge for parking. Fortunately the rate was good so I guess I can overlook that for this trip.

“Close, but no cigars”

The stay was full of promises that we didn’t get to experience. But we did get nickeled and dimed. The stay was full of promises that we didn’t get to experience. But we did get nickeled and dimed. Don’t get me wrong, it was a nice place with a great location, and everything worked and the staff was adequate and friendly. Not necessarily the hotels fault. But not exactly ours either. We stayed because of the location near the mall and airport, promise of a delicious looking breakfast, and the convenient hotel shuttle that I was going to take to meet the hubby at the airport when his plane came in. Parking, which was not free but only like $10?? Was close, safe and convenient but I didn’t feel like driving, or giving up my spot so thought, ‘cool, there’s a free shuttle’… So first… the shuttle that I was going to take to the mall was busy somewhere, no big deal, I enjoyed a nice brisk 7 minute walk to the rail station where I got a southbound train to the mall of America. for $1.00. Great, I’ll call a hotel shuttle to take us home from the airport, because although the trains close and convenient, who wants to walk through puddles and wind in the middle of the night. The neighborhood is OK but definitely felt a bit weird walking around . Wrong! Shuttles only go to 11:00 pm :( and his flight got in around 11:45pm. Nbd we took an $18 uber from the airport which never showed up. Odd. Of course they charged for the ride anyway. So then we caught a $20 Lyft, and left a $5 tip so our free shuttle ride now was $26, plus arguing with uber for a refund. GRRRRRR. I loved the king bed, but it was definitely on the hard side. Bathroom was interestingly small but then we didn’t have to get out of the shower to get the towels, so that was cool. Barely disguised peeling wallpaper and scuffed paint let us know this wasn’t the brand new hotel we thought it was. Loved the rug, and in room coffee, frig. and microwave (but you had to go the breakfast room to find it). Also loved that the heat worked, and bed was nestled by a nice large window. Loved the bulk shampoo, did not see any lotion anywhere. Next morning we found after you enjoy a cup of coffee in the room, which does not fit the little tray you make it with, you have to wait like 30 minutes for the thing to cool down to make another cup. Of course they only give you two cups of coffee, and there’s no coffee available downstairs either unless you pay for it. But there is free water so it’s all good. No where does it clearly state when the complementary breakfast is, or what the WiFi password is. I’m sure someone knows, but not us… when we figured we’d call the front desk to ask, it was too late breakfast ended at 9:00. Again not their fault, but another thing we missed :(. So after paying $30 for our breakfast that should have been free, and the Lyft ride and the parking, it was over $200
