“Good stay”

Great shuttle to and from the airport. Plus a free shuttle to the Mall of America. Very clean room with a nice view. The staff was very efficient and friendly. The breakfast buffet as always is great perk for staying here. The chef was awesome as was the cleaning staff.

Great location with a shuttle to both the MSP airport as well as the Mall of America. LightRail Blue Line directly across the street giving easy access to Downtown Minneapolis, Target Field and US Bank Stadium for sports events. Great location with a shuttle to both the MSP airport as well as the Mall of America. LightRail Blue Line directly across the street giving easy access to Downtown Minneapolis, Target Field and US Bank Stadium for sports events. Rooms are clean and well maintained, all are 2 room suites. Buffet breakfast with an omelet station as well as a daily 5:30-7pm guest reception including 2 drinks each and munchies is also included. Pool here is rather small and constantly full of kids but it is posted Adults only 10-11pm.

“A bit neglected”

We love Embassy Suites. We have stayed at several Hilton properties over the past two decades and almost all of them are stellar. We love Embassy Suites. We have stayed at several Hilton properties over the past two decades and almost all of them are stellar. We were once again able to stay at this particular one this past weekend. Vast majority of our stay was amazing! I really appreciated the super kind staff at the front desk. I would be remiss to not point out things are, well, getting old. In our corner room, excellent for plane watching, BTW, the bathroom lighting was in great shape as was the shower head. A few of the tiles need to be replaced as does the wallpaper due to stains and previous guests not being cautious. The curtains were missing a few hooks, and hung weird against the window. The bed was HARD. I know some really like this, but not me. My hips were hurting in the AM, and getting up at 4:30 for the day is hard enough. The foldout for our child was ok, if creaky. I noticed a lot of paint around the interior needed to be scraped and re-painted as it was peeling in several spots. The pools under the elevators were PRISTINE. They looked so lovely with all of the dark gray stones in them!! Over the years, most of the Manager’s Receptions have really gone down hill in available snacks. This is no exception. Corn chips, salsa, mini pretzels, and popcorn were the offerings. It used to be hot mini appetizers, veggies and dip, cheese and crackers were the norm. I miss them. :( The hot tub is still in play, which was AMAZING after a five mile hike! Most others do not have hot tubs anymore, which is a shame, but I get it. Upkeep is hard and expensive. We did not get to partake of the breakfast, which is a shame, that is a really good perk of ES!Overall take always: staff-awesome, bed-very solid, food at receptions-needs help, interior-needs work. We will continue to stay at ES, because I do love them.

We stayed for four nights at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Minneapolis Airport. The hotel is fine overall—nothing particularly bad, but nothing exceptional either. One important thing to note is that the hotel was originally built in 1980, and it still feels like a hotel from that era. While it has undergone some renovations, with updated colors and carpeting, the building shows its age. We stayed in a standard room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. The bathroom was very small, and although there’s no fan, it wasn’t an issue since the shower water never got hot enough to produce steam. However, despite being on the 9th floor, the toilet required multiple flushes to clear the bowl. We also noticed two strands of hair stuck to the ceiling when we arrived, which remained there throughout our stay. On a positive note, daily housekeeping services were provided, and the room was generally clean (apart from the hair on the ceiling). However, there were some oddities, like only one of the two beds being made one day, and another day, all but one dirty towel was removed. The breakfast was adequate, offering eggs, potatoes, pancakes, yogurt, cereal, and fruit. There’s also a kitchen for made-to-order omelets. Unfortunately, the behavior of some guests around the free food was less than ideal. Over the weekend, the bacon and sausage were moved to the kitchen, presumably to prevent guests from taking excessive amounts they wouldn’t eat. However, this didn’t stop them from overloading on other items, especially fruit, much of which ended up being discarded by staff. On Saturday night, two events were being held in the hotel’s ballrooms. When we returned around 8:30 PM, we managed to find what seemed to be the last available parking spot in the large lot. We were lucky, as I’m not sure where we would have parked if we’d returned any later. As I mentioned at the start, there wasn’t anything particularly “wrong” with this hotel. It was a reasonably priced option for a holiday weekend, so I can’t complain too much. However, based on this experience, we won’t be returning to this location or likely any other Embassy Suites in the future.
