“Great location.”
Exactly as advertised. We arrived fairly late at night for a 5 night city break. The hotel is perfect for the 4 minute walk to the Metro and local restaurants nearby. Exactly as advertised. We arrived fairly late at night for a 5 night city break. The hotel is perfect for the 4 minute walk to the Metro and local restaurants nearby. The Metro got us everywhere within 30 minutes. The room we had was tired, but not offensively so, and for what we paid it met the grade. Ours was a BA holiday. The hotel bar is expensive, but great value during happy hour, the food was great. Breakfast is expensive, but you know that before you book. It’s not a great selection, and we found the officious member of staff on day 2, the one that has been mentioned before. If we went again I think we’d pass and get something from nearby. There is a CVS nearby if you need supplies, and Pentagon City has everything you’ll ever need; a 12 minute walk under the freeway. So, a great break, it is tired and not so clean, but then it’s inexpensive and 20 mins from the city center. I didn’t take to DC, after Chicago and NYC, but that’s just me. The hotel did exactly what we paid for.

There is a small snack shop in hotel but quite expensive. SUGGESTIONS 1. Get free shuttle both ways from airport, so easy, its every half hour. 2. For metro, 5 min walk, turn left out of hotel, left again, across the road, carry on straight and its on your right. Bus stops here to. 3. As you go down escalators there is an underground mall on left, this has few shops and 'Subway' perfect for cheaper breakfast or snacks. 4. Arlington Cemetary about 5-10 min metro ride, Union station about 20 mins. 5. Big bus tour good for great views of main tourist spots, and getting around, but metro very easy.

“Over all, a pleasant stay in well situated hotel”
We arrived at the hotel quite late in the night due to our flight bring delayed. The female hotel Receptionist on our arrival, was rather abrupt & not very welcoming but all other hotel staff we met after that, were great & very polite, helpful & welcoming. We arrived at the hotel quite late in the night due to our flight bring delayed. The female hotel Receptionist on our arrival, was rather abrupt & not very welcoming but all other hotel staff we met after that, were great & very polite, helpful & welcoming. Hotel decor is a little dated but that's not really an issue for us. We had read previous guest reviews regards bed bugs / bites & after our first night, both my wife & I found we both had numerous small red bite marks about our body which I am sure were as a result of bed bugs and this continued throughout our stay although the staff on desk said it was more likely to have been mosquitos. Food in hotel is expensive but adequate. Bar Staff in the hotels on site Potomac bar were very friendly and welcoming as were all the staff in the Mezzanine restaurant that we ate in every morning. The Hotel is situated nearby to many good sightseeing locations in Arlington & DC & the Metro train & shopping Mall are within a 15 minutes easy walk. Taxi ride into Washington DC, is roughly a 15 minute ride - $20 trip. Overall, our stay was good apart from the Bed Bug issue. Would I stay here again. Yes if the Bed bug issue is seriously addressed by the hotel management / owners. All in all, not a bad hotel.

“Simply not good enough”
The location is great, really good for transport links. The hotel however feels a bit tired and housekeeping standards are not great. The bathroom floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly before our arrival. And 5 days later, still hadn’t been. There was a random white bead under the wash basin t… lisää
The location is great, really good for transport links. The hotel however feels a bit tired and housekeeping standards are not great. The bathroom floor clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly before our arrival. And 5 days later, still hadn’t been. There was a random white bead under the wash basin the whole time - it may still be there now! As a bonus, housekeeping left a false eyelash on the countertop for us! Two weeks after checkout, we’re still waiting for our holding deposit to be returned despite being told it would happen automatically.
