“The most amazing hotel ever.”
Best. Hotel. Ever. I have been to many hotels both in Europe and in the states and this is truly my favorite. The front desk staff were so welcoming, the holiday decor was phenomenal and the beds were very comfortable. Luis and Lauren at valet made my stay truly exceptional!!! 10/10 would recommend… lisää

Best stay i have ever had! Grade A I will be returning again real soon! Great job! Parking folks excellent! Excellent! I can't say enough such nice gentlemen we truly can't wait to come back and stay again summer time I'm there lol!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

“Outstanding- highly recommend”
Absolutely beautifully appointed hotel for a very reasonable price. We entertained friends for a dinner at their restaurant and the food was spectacular. We would definitely utilize the dining if we were locals. Our family who live locally do partake regularly.

My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the AKA Alexandria. Despite being a little removed from Old Town/King Street, I picked the hotel because it looked great and had such great reviews. My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at the AKA Alexandria. Despite being a little removed from Old Town/King Street, I picked the hotel because it looked great and had such great reviews. I had high expectations for our stay, and I have to say that the hotel EXCEEDED our expectations in every way. From the moment you hand your keys to the valet and pass through the front door, the hotel has a chill vibe and is very welcoming. Jules at Reception was a true rock star, so kind, professional and helpful, and everyone at Reception was engaging and greeted guests with a warm smile. The valets took good care of our car and they always welcomed you back when you returned. Hershaw was particularly gracious and always greeted us by name when he saw us. We arrived at night after a 4+ hour drive from New York City, so we decided to just stay in and eat at the hotel, rather than venture out. The hotel food was delicious (way better than we expected), and the bar has a very good feel to it. In addition to having a terrific staff, the hotel rooms are huge by today's standards, and they are decorated in a warm and tranquil color palette. We stayed in a Premium King on the 4th floor and loved it. Even the bathroom is spacious and it has a spa-like feel to it, with a nice big shower and good water pressure. We chose to leave the car at the hotel and ventured into DC daily via Uber - it was a quick 15 minute ride to the major sites (Capitol, Ford Theater, Smithsonian, Georgetown, etc) and only cost about $15-$20 each way. Old Town Alexandria/King Street was only 6 minutes from the hotel via Uber, or a 20 minute walk. There are even restaurants and bars nearby, and Royal serves a great breakfast. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for being so welcoming and making our hotel stay so comfortable. We will definitely return the next time we decide to visit Washington DC.

Beautiful atmosphere and 100% agree this is the best Alexandria has to offer. Tucked away from the buzz of Old Town but plenty to indulge your senses nearby. The absolute best part of our experience at AKA was Owen at the hotel bar (restaurant)- engaging, attentive, and hospitable. We felt he went above and beyond to make us feel special. Feedback to refine overall experience - to position yourselves as a true luxury stay - doorman at each entrance around the clock to welcome you to the main lobby, streamlined check-in (concierge did not seem fully aware of all check-in details -we booked through 3rd party site). Cinema though we were unable to experience is a nice touch. Rooms overall are well appointed. Minor recommendation on shower design and accessibility, functionality not necessarily designed with comfort in mind. I would most certainly recommend a stay at Hotel AKA, and rebook this quaint gem near home!
