As a solo English traveller with very limited French I was made very welcome - with all the staff having a good grasp of English (even though I did try my best in French), they were very kind and understanding. The room was extremely comfortable, really generous sized bathroom and an excellent shower, very comfortable bed, Continental breakfast included cheeses, salami, ham, scrambled or boiled eggs, wide range of cereals, fruit juice, hot drinks, natural yoghurt and fruit - alongside various breads and mini croissants/pain au chocolate. Breakfast was not a massive choice but everything was of great quality and just enough to get you started for the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel and would return when visiting the area. on site parking for an extra charge, but it seems there is on street and a station car park very close by if the on-site parking is not available, you can book and pay for the onsite car park to guarantee your space on arrival if there’s something available – I was lucky and managed to park all 3 nights. It’s a bit pricey but worth it if you want to have the car very close by. I was very glad for the air-conditioning in the room and a lift – although I don’t think all rooms were accessible by a lift. It is a good 15 minute walk into the town but there are several restaurants/places to eat very near to the hotel. There is quite a bit of parking in the town if you want to drive in and the bus nearby.

“Perfect city break”

Lovely hotel just outside Saumur centre, but within. Walking distance. The rooms are spotlessly clean and in good order. Breakfast fresh and plentiful. Recommend booking parking , which is secure and accessed through a code. Bar Cosy and fully stocked.

I would give this hotel 11/10 if that was allowed. A brilliant stay, from the warm welcome on our arrival to the equally warm “au revoir” when we left. I would give this hotel 11/10 if that was allowed. A brilliant stay, from the warm welcome on our arrival to the equally warm “au revoir” when we left. Our room was spacious, with a super-comfortable king bed, and had obviously been recently renovated. Everything was impeccably clean and the air conditioning was a relief from the hot summer. Breakfast was a nice surprise - a great selection of cheeses and cold cuts, bread and pastries, eggs, fruit, cereal, selection of loose-leaf teas, espresso or cappuccino, and even an orange juicer for fresh-squeezed juice. A wonderful stay.

We stayed as a group of 13 as part of our cycling club on a TDF trip. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed as a group of 13 as part of our cycling club on a TDF trip. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. As part of the booking, we were able to arrange 3 secure car park spaces for our vehicles which was just excellent. The hotel was very clean and a very trendy design throughout. There was also a very pleasant bar. The hotel staff also provide information on local places to visit and also booked a restaurant for us that evening, that was also very helpful. We would all stay again, as it was just an excellent hotel.
