“A good value for money hotel”

This small hotel is very well located (not far away from the train station) and the main sights of Angers are close by. The breakfast also was very good and the staff efficient and friendly. However there is a problem of quitness (cars passing)

My wife and I stayed in the Royal hotel for one night only recently and found the hotel very good value for money. We found the staff excellant to deal with and could no do enough for us. My wife and I stayed in the Royal hotel for one night only recently and found the hotel very good value for money. We found the staff excellant to deal with and could no do enough for us. The hotel itself is old and the furniture a bit outdated but for the value of money, central location it could not be beaten for value. Even things like extra pillows and water late at night request were met with a smile from the lovely girl at reception. I would stay again if I had to have another stay over. I reckon one night is fine for a stay.

The saving grace of this shabby, tired, dated & unloved hotel, was the glorious receptionist/concierge/breakfast chef. The saving grace of this shabby, tired, dated & unloved hotel, was the glorious receptionist/concierge/breakfast chef. Not only did he draw us a plan of where to park (opposite), he showed us where to eat, drink & be merry. So regardless of the fact the bed was as hard as nails & we had to reorganise the room to open the window, the breakfast he gave us (which was included) was fresh & fabulous. Like him.
