“A relaxing place to live in like a Roman!”

"Wow, what a wonderful place!" - we said as soon as we saw our spacious and beautiful ground-floor apartment, with a lovely, green patio in the back. Federico (the manager who is very professional yet friendly) checked us in earlier than the official time, and we were very grateful for that after having a sleepless transatlantic flight. Located on a quiet street, away from all kinds of busy traffic and tourist crowds, Residence Prati proved to be perfect. It feels more like a home than a hotel - since you have a kitchenette, with a stove and a fridge, and can shop for groceries. One of the local supermarkets, Carrefour, is a block away and several others are not much further. My favorite is Tuodi (which has a nice selection of organic fruit and vegetables and prepared meals that can be warmed up on the stove). There are also many pizzerias and forno (bakeries) around for carryouts! So you are kind of on your own, living like a Roman - grocery shopping, cooking, having your coffee or tea on a patio (or a balcony)... BUT if you need some advice or assistance, there is a very helpful front-desk staff available 24/7! You can easily walk from Residence Prati to many major attractions (just bring comfortable shoes!). Walk down the Tiber River and cross one of the closest bridges to head to Villa Borghese and Piazza del Popolo! Or go in a different direction - towards Piazza Cavour and the Vatican! Or head to the metro station, Lepanto, and take a subway train to get anywhere else in the city. When we arrived, we took a Leonardo Express train from the airport to Termini, then a metro train (line A towards Battistini). Got out at Lepanto stop and rolled our suitcases for less than 10 minutes to the hotel. Pretty easy! Our apartment has a stylish look (with Picasso's artwork on the wall) and lots of natural light coming through the large windows (you can use curtains or shutters to block the sun if you wish). The blue-tiled bathroom has a shower and a tub, with excellent water pressure. Wi-fi works perfectly, and there is a flat-screen TV with lots of channels. It's in a lovely and safe residential area - with many restaurants, gelaterias, fashion shops, pharmacies and a post office nearby. Also... There are shelves of tourist guides in the lobby of the hotel, maps and all. They have great fiction books - in Italian, English, etc - that you can read as well! If I still didn't convince you to stay here, consider this. Federico Fellini and Giulietta Masina spent the night before getting married at Residence Prati. That was in 1943. Sounds romantic to me! What about you? :-)

“Fantastic Mini Suite in a quiet street only seconds from river Tiber”
Really smart and well cared for, spacious mini apartment. Comfortable bed, dining table and 4 chairs, large sofa, large bathroom and mini kitchen, plenty of wardrobe space - we could easily have stayed for a week rather than 3 nights. Totally catered for everything we might want for a city break. Perhaps a little far out from all the main attractions but we enjoyed the walk most days and an Uber at night was only 10 euros. Local cafe, bars and restaurants were pretty good too.

“Excellent place to stay in Roma!!”
Stayed here for one week in September.. staff all excellent and the apartment was just perfect for our needs. It's a short walk to Lepanto metro station and there is a supermarket just across the street and very good restaurants within a 5 mi Ute walk. Would definitely stay here again!!

“Nice experience”
We enjoyed our stay at the Residence during the Christmas holidays. The location is very conveniet, 20 min walk from the Vatican, in a very neat and quiet residential area with a supermarket a few steps away. We enjoyed our stay at the Residence during the Christmas holidays. The location is very conveniet, 20 min walk from the Vatican, in a very neat and quiet residential area with a supermarket a few steps away. Consierge always present and a parking is available in front. There is a kitchenette but you have to bring your own dishwashing stuff/sugar/salt. The cleaning/towel change could be more frequent, but in the end it is not a hotel. The place is very neat and well kept.

“Nice stay”
I was there a couple of times in July, and I've been pretty satisfied all the time. Good value for the price paid and helpful staff at reception. The only regret for the first stay, was about the a/c not enough powerful.
