From the front desk staff to the housekeeping to the breakfast staff, each person makes the stay memorable. The rooms are large and comfortable, plus the location is ideal. Tips: the breakfast has hot and cold items, including eggs and bacon and is served in the rooftop room with a view over to St Peter's dome. The Wi-Fi has a strong signal. Hotel Madrid is a charming, older hotel close to shopping and major attractions in the heart of Rome. Although the hotel is showing it's age, the rooms are generous in size, clean and have all the amenities you might need. The breakfast buffet is more than adequate and the hotel staff are friendly and quite helpful with dinner recommendations and reservations. Based on one recommendation, we walked around the corner and had a fabulous dinner one evening, not because the food was anything special but because the wait staff made us feel so special. In fact, there were many diniing and shopping options all within an easy walk. If you'd like to feel that you're a guest in an old Italian home, you will enjoy the Hotel Madrid.

“First Time in Rome”
I cannot say anything negative about this hotel. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is delicious and the location is perfect. “Rome”
Clean hotel near excellent attractions, the hotel room was very small. The washroom not very comfortable and I am not a big person. The rooftop breakfast was amazing with great food and good views. The front desk very helpful and friendly.
