“Wonderful European Hotel”
I just returned from a two night stay in Rome. I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. It is very conveniently located next to the Metro. The owner, Sandra, is a wonderful host. I just returned from a two night stay in Rome. I really enjoyed my time at the hotel. It is very conveniently located next to the Metro. The owner, Sandra, is a wonderful host. She went out of her way to make sure I had breakfast one morning before a very early tour (I had to leave at 6:30 am for a Vatican tour). She also made me an espresso when I returned in the afternoon. The rooms are small, but that is expected of an older European building, however, it has everything you need. If you are looking for a hotel that has a more authentic European experience with personal service, I highly recommend Hotel Appio 442. I hope to return soon!

We only managed 1 night here and it was unplanned. We were let down by an air bnb host and found Appia 442 in a search. To be honest I wish we had just come here 1st. We only managed 1 night here and it was unplanned. We were let down by an air bnb host and found Appia 442 in a search. To be honest I wish we had just come here 1st. The host Sandra was amazing, the epitome of helpfulness and hospitality, We hope the hotel is full all year round and she makes a fortune. The rooms were clean, we had small balcony, mini-bar and free spirits if wanted them (dont tell everyone). Great area, right next to the metro, 10 mins to termini, 15 to Spagna. Thanks Sandra!

“Welcoming quiet hotel”

We spent four nights here, the hotel is located on the second floor of a lovely old building and was perfectly placed for the Metro into the centre. The hotel owner Sandra was very welcoming offering us coffee or fresh juice whilst we waited for our room. The hotel is very quiet, no sound from other guests. Despite the compact feel of the hotel our room was nice and large with a small terrace attached. The beds were fine, quite firm but that suited me for a good night's sleep. Our room was kept spotlessly clean while we were there. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel but the Cafe Appia across the road is great and there are plenty of cafes and shops around. Other lovely extras were the free soft drinks and water in the minibar (replenished daily), free WiFi and even a small free bar for a quick tipple before bed. It was a great base from which to explore Rome and you are made to feel at home and very welcomed - I would definitely recommend!

“Flying visit to an oasis of Italian hospitality”
I stayed here a couple of years ago so it was like coming home when I walked up the marble steps to the second floor... there is a lift but the stairs are more fun. The rooms are comfortable, the Wifi free - and so is the minibar. The public space is more like a living room, complete with aperitifs tray. The while feeling is one of being a guest, a very welcome guest, in someone's home. Breakfast is freshly made cappuccino, croissants and fruit salad. All in all, my flying visit meant I arrived at my conference fresh and raring to go. I hope I get invited back to speak again... and hosted at the Appia 442.

“You feel at home”
Very Friendly staff and very helpful. Great location . 15 sec walking to mitro station. You feel at your home. Very clean. Very Quite. Value for money. Very near to more restaurant and super market around you.
