“Superb”
As cleanliness is a key issue at the moment (pandemic!) I must start with this - I have NEVER seen a hotel so keen on cleaning EVERYTHING so much, it’s like you leave a glass, 3 seconds later it is gone to be cleaned. As cleanliness is a key issue at the moment (pandemic!) I must start with this - I have NEVER seen a hotel so keen on cleaning EVERYTHING so much, it’s like you leave a glass, 3 seconds later it is gone to be cleaned. The rooms absolutely sparkle as does the rest of the hotel - very impressed. The hotel staff and the restaurant staff are absolutely one of a kind (hotel wise) as they are so kind, polite, considerate (being that I don’t speak a word of Italian) and just downright superb human beings. The restaurant staff in particular (including the bar staff) were very attentive and just genuinely happy, smiley people - it was a pleasant, refreshing change. The food was to a very high standard, good quality, fresh produce was definitely used. And the chef(s) definitely knew how to prepare it! I did not go hungry on my visit, as I absolutely HAD to finish everything on my plate. All in all a very pleasant stay. The only criticism was that the ‘high speed Wi-Fi’ coverage was extremely poor - to get Wi-Fi in the room I had to press my device to the room door, and next to no coverage was found in the bar and restaurant. In the end I had no alternative but to use my very expensive roaming data. In the age when high speed Wi-Fi with good coverage is the norm, I found this to be very strange. But this is genuinely my only criticism, mainly because it was a slight inconvenience for the bonuses side of my stay.
