“Perefect hotel in Florance - Italy”

“Nice if you don’t have neighbours.”
I booked direct with the hotel well in advance. I had a few emails to ensure that the booking was confirmed etc and the response was always quick and informative. I booked direct with the hotel well in advance. I had a few emails to ensure that the booking was confirmed etc and the response was always quick and informative. The hotel was easy to find using my iPhone maps and I thought it was well located just a short walk into the city centre and certainly well located next to the train station which is helpful if you want to go straight there with your baggage at the end of your stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful which is an asset to the hotel. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. They provide a 24hr access to a vending machine in reception , so if you like a morning coffee you have to go down to get one and take it back. Our room was comfortable and for the most part very clean. They provide basic toiletries so you can travel lighter. Tv was what to expect with BBC world news being the only English Channel if that that is important to you but let’s face it that’s not what you are there for!! Our bathroom was large, it had a frosted glass door leading into it which wasn’t cleaned at the bottom, it wasn’t lockable, and it didn’t fit well so my wife trapped her finger between the door and frame causing quite a bruise when she closed it. Here is my issue. My god it’s noisy. Not from the trains or trams but the separating walls are like paper thin. I swear I have never been to a hotel where is could hear a pin drop next door. Our neighbours were not being noisy but it was like they were in the same room, the use of wooden floors do little to absorb this and even amplify it. We didn’t sleep much and actually ruined the back half of our stay because we were so tired and unable to rest. Breakfast was okay a nice selection of pastries fruit yoghurts etc all fresh. I didn’t fancy the cooked stuff much, very fatty and hard egg. Basic hotdog type sausage. But I really enjoyed the rest. Can be a long que for the coffee machine as they only have one. Nice enough hotel but I won’t be returning due to the noise issue.

“Modern efficient hotel”
Stayed recently for two nights, and had an enjoyable stay. Welcome was efficient, we felt it could have been more friendly, room was large and clean , with fridge and nice balcony with views of the trains and countryside. Not noisy at night though. Stayed recently for two nights, and had an enjoyable stay. Welcome was efficient, we felt it could have been more friendly, room was large and clean , with fridge and nice balcony with views of the trains and countryside. Not noisy at night though. Picked hotel as about 10 minutes walk from the railway station but it is 20+ minute walk from the centre, though to be fair there is a tram stop 5 minutes away and only 1.70 euros for one way. Hotel is very modern, efficient lifts, good choice at breakfast, but no restaurant and bar closed , with not much in the way of either close to hotel.
