We stayed here for one night on Saturday the 2nd of November while visiting friends in the area. This is a lovely hotel with a chic feel to it. The welcome and check-in from Maryam was wonderful, she was very warm and friendly and gave us all the information we needed. The hotel has two lifts, one is more modern than the other but they work and are available to all floors. Slightly confusing though when you pressed floor three, it's actually the second floor not third, so bear this in mind when you are exiting the lift. The room was very clean, modern and tastefully furnished with a lovely modern bathroom. The bed was comfortable too. Service in the bar was also excellent, barman was very polite and professional. Breakfast also good, don't think I've ever received such a warm welcome in a breakfast room before, unfortunately, I didn't catch the ladies name but she was fantastic! The reason I have only given 4 points is for the fact that you have to pay £10 per night for parking. This really gets my back up, you're at the hotel and it's not like you have a choice of where to park so they cash in on this fact. You need to do away with this. Otherwise, an excellent stay.

“Great hotel for business”

I have stayed in many IHG hotels and the Vocos are usually my favourite. I stayed here on business for 2 nights and it was my first time atthis Voco hotel in solihull. I checked in with a Young lady called Maryam on reception who was very friendly and professional and was very helpful throughout my entire stay, she also upgraded my room for me! Breakfast was also very good and I enjoyed it even though it was a little busy - it was good. Staff in restaurant are all so welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately my check out was not great. I stood at the desk for about 5 minutes whilst the lady at reception ignored me and carried on doing what she was doing before acknowledging I was stood in front of her, when I went to give her my key she asked me my room number and said it was done and I could go and seemed very miserable. I didn’t manage to get her name but she was not friendly one bit. She had a fringe and glasses but I was unable to get her name as my check out was so abrupt!

The hotel's ambition is excellent. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I went with my family to celebrate my son's special day. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel's ambition is excellent. The room was large, clean and comfortable. I went with my family to celebrate my son's special day. Breakfast was delicious. However, when we went for dinner in a restaurant, it was okay, but one guy was quite rude to me when we asked him for a table. He talked like he did not want us in the restaurant, although the restaurant was half empty. The hotel was lovely, and the staff were keen to help, except for that guy's behaviour towards us. He needs to know the meaning of hospitality.
