“Lovely place but does need updating in places”

We stayed here 5 years ago Was great but still having same issues as before Pool not working room temperature cold We were moved quickly because fire door would not stay closed New room radiator needed bleeding randomly hot then cold Lots of hot water and shower two heads spacious shower bed really comfortable Staff so friendly nothing was a problem Breakfast was amazing lots of choice Cooked to order Dinner not enough choice Bar meals were better choice and price Top marks to chef for amazing fish and chips So much so a few people asked how was our meal was then they ordered too Maybe use restaurant for bar meals save it being empty Cheaper but happy customers

So we booked Marwell as part of a package with Paultons Park. The hotel being a bit different but having a pool was a massive selling point to us. I cannot fault the friendless of the staff. So we booked Marwell as part of a package with Paultons Park. The hotel being a bit different but having a pool was a massive selling point to us. I cannot fault the friendless of the staff. Every member of staff we came across was lovely and polite. The walkways between the hotel to the area where the rooms are, are freezing and by freezing I mean, you can see your breath. Our room was ok. Simple and what we needed, tho, 2 downsides. The floor was Filthy and could definately have done with a nice hoover… secondly, our heating didn’t work. We raised this and was told it would be fixed before we returned that evening - it was still cold… There was also a birthday party on the second night and the bass of the music kept me awake until after midnight. As I said, the pool was a big selling point and we paid extra for this then the other breaks on offer. It’s advertised as heated. It was not. It was absolutely freezing. After 15 minutes my sons feet were purple so We had to get him out, I also cut my foot on broken tiles around the pool area so he careful! Breakfast was included in our stay and was as expected.
