What an amazing break! The hotel was first class. The room was spacious, well equipped- the bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Everywhere in the hotel, including the room was cleaned to a very high standard. We received warm and welcoming service from all the staff we encountered from arrival to departure. The car parks are serviced by a passenger buggy available to assist anyone who needs help with luggage from the car park to reception (about a 100 metre walk). Every member of staff we met as we travelled around the hotel and estate was happy, offered a greeting and nothing was too much trouble for them if a request was made. One member of staff told us how much she enjoyed working at Heythrop telling us that Warners was a great company to work for and that staff were well respected and cared for by the company - she clearly enjoyed her job and the time she spent with guests. The food was very good; there was plenty of choice and it was hot and flavoursome (Market Kitchen). My only criticism is the queueing to enter the restaurant and not having an allocated table for the duration of the stay. The entertainment was of a high standard too - we spent a very enjoyable evening watching the ABBA tribute band and the performance the following day by Brian Connolly Jr. featuring songs from the Glam Rock era - both very enjoyable shows given by talented performers and we thoroughly enjoyed our musical trips back through the 70’s and 80’s. Bar staff were attentive and drinks could be ordered from and were brought to us in our seats throughout performances. There are many activities offered throughout each day to suit every taste and all are welcome to join in (some need to be booked in advance) - the in-house entertainment teams run these with fun and plenty of enthusiasm. If you need a little downtime there are plentiful cosy quiet spaces to chill out with a book or you can relax in the spa. The grounds are huge and can be explored on foot or by electric assisted bikes (available to hire - book in advance). Blenheim palace is 8 miles from the hotel and discounted tickets can be purchased from reception. We very much look forward to a return visit!

We have been with Warners for many years visiting nine of the warner hotels some several times, Heythrop Park four times. Food, resort quality, Cleanliness and facilities are always great. We have been with Warners for many years visiting nine of the warner hotels some several times, Heythrop Park four times. Food, resort quality, Cleanliness and facilities are always great. This short break was no different with the addition of a great golf course and interesting walking facilities on the door step. We wish they would focus on house keeping where the room is service by early afternoon and not four or five a clock or on occasions partially or two occasions not serviced. Opening the door holding our breath till we view the service condition. We love warners but this element does make us angry.
