I lose count on how many times we’ve stayed in this hotel.The location is convenient, nearby stations are Holborn and Covent Garden, shops, restaurants ,cafes are also within walking distance. I lose count on how many times we’ve stayed in this hotel.The location is convenient, nearby stations are Holborn and Covent Garden, shops, restaurants ,cafes are also within walking distance. Wonderful staff, Paolo at the front desk is very friendly, efficient and welcoming, no fuss checking in early, they always have a room readily available for us,Marie France such a lovely lady and a real gem to be in the breakfast room and made our dining experience very pleasant and the chef for perfectly cooking our food as requested.The rooms are clean and we appreciate the spaciousness , compared to other London hotels we stayed in, some are very tiny. Overall we enjoyed our stay and will stay here again.

“Wonderful little find!”

In London celebrating my friend’s 60th birthday with dinner later. Just happened to pass this very welcoming hotel for pre dinner drinks. Marie-France welcomed us upon arrival with a smile on her face and was so attentive and friendly. We only came in for one drink but ended up staying for anot… lisää

In London celebrating my friend’s 60th birthday with dinner later. Just happened to pass this very welcoming hotel for pre dinner drinks. Marie-France welcomed us upon arrival with a smile on her face and was so attentive and friendly. We only came in for one drink but ended up staying for another! Marie France cheered us up on a very damp and dreary day! Davide the manager was also lovely and told us the history of the hotel and its musical connection! We wil definitely be returning to this wonderful hotel bar and thank you for making us so welcome. Jane B

“5* all the way !”

Dropped into this beautiful bar en route to our eve meal. Met the wonderful Marie-France . She absolutely made our visit ! What a kind , beautiful soul she was ! She made us so welcome & was so kind & thoughtful 🥰 I’ll coming back again to this lovely hotel & hope we get to Meet Marie -France again… lisää

“Great area. First impression looks nice. Avoid the breakfast.”

Greeted at the front entrance from a very polite well dressed gentleman who took us into the hotel lobby. We were sat down and offered a drink whilst waiting for our turn to book in. Handed room cards but were not aware we had to use them to operate the lift. Our room was adequate. Very dark even … lisää

Greeted at the front entrance from a very polite well dressed gentleman who took us into the hotel lobby. We were sat down and offered a drink whilst waiting for our turn to book in. Handed room cards but were not aware we had to use them to operate the lift. Our room was adequate. Very dark even with all the lighting on. Took a few minutes to see how to operate the lights air con etc. small bathroom but adequate. Nice flannels but hard towels. Plenty of hot water. Air con was noisy and bed was lumpy. Very difficult to sleep. Water milk and lemonade in the mini bar. 4 coffee capsules. 4 boxes tea bags. 2 packs biscuits. Hard to comment on cleanliness as room was so dark. Bar looks nice sofas a little tired. Ordered our drinks which arrived with vegetable crisps. When we wished to leave had to hang around to pay or book to our room. Breakfast very expensive for over cooked beans tinned mushrooms hard dried up bacon fresh tomato slice has brown and a sausage. It was also cold. Plus a coffee and an orange juice over £60 for two and not enjoyable. A refund was not available but a complimentary breakfast for the next day was offered and very quickly declined. The restaurant and reception are two separate things so reception was unable to consider the problem or make a refund. I did note once we left there were many positive reviews on the hotel/room/staff but a lot of poor reviews on the breakfast and the staff. The hotel is in a very good position to get around either by foot bus or tube. I would mention we tried a breakfast at Wetherspoons £5.99 and it was excellent compared to the 5* middle eight which is quite sad. Love London and go there often for long weekends so have experienced a number of hotels. As with everything some impress you and some don’t. This is my honest opinion of my experience the weekend I spent at middle eight.
