This resort was a very pleasant find while touring the Northeast Brazil during carnival 2024. We found Sun Bay to be properly staffed, well managed, clean and with beautifully manicured green areas, up to international standards of hospitality and service. The breakfasts were great, always plenty to eat for everyone and lots of diverse foods, from yogurts and fruits to eggs, cheeses and cold meats, tapiocas and bakes, there was not a thing we tried that we found to be below standards. I particularly loved the fact that the kitchen does not ruin the food by adding too much sugar to their drinks, deserts, etc. We had one dinner at the resort and the food was excellent - meats with a cassava puree, veggies and drinks - and it was priced reasonably too. Milena is the restaurant manager, clearly a professional who knows her job very well, not too intrusive yet very friendly and helpful - thank you! The front desk checked us in within a couple of minutes from arrival -thank you! The room was spacious, clean, with a nice balcony and a great jacuzzi in the bathroom. The pool area was very nice too. I would say this is one of the best places we have stayed at during our carnival tour this year up in the Northeast of Brazil. We'd be happy to go back and perhaps as a good recommendation to the resort management, I would point that they should train their front desk staff to improve their English-speaking skills. I speak limited Portuguese and none of the front desk staff was truly fluent in English, but this was just a small detail as we were able to communicate and enjoy our stay without event. Also, the parking accommodations were a bit schetchy, where the resort parking lot was full, so, they had to lease space across the street to park everyone else whose cars would not fit in the resort hotel parking lot, but thankfully there were no issues with that as out car was safe throughout our stay there. “Very good option ”

I went with my husband to celebrate wedding anniversary. We stayed at a room with jacuzzi and the price was good. We had some problems with the shower, but was quickly resolved by staffs.
